Oh dear. Are you on the news?

No ma'am.
I just have the perfect northern Midwest accent. It's not my fault, I was born into it.

I worked with a guy from England and he told me that over there cupcakes are called fairy cakes.
I mailed the previously posted guide for Americans visiting UK to a friend of mine, heres what we've been discussing (translated for all you americanos)...
QUOTE:
Isn’t that hilarious
I’ll have a wank on yer-i-nals to save some goolies out, so I can grab a British Standard Excellence meal later on with my local tossers
Then I’ll get the last pram home before the Gappe Bats are out to attack the bumbershoot
------------------------------------------------------------
Ah dirk, you're a great old tosser, come over to England and you can have my goolies and buy yourself a fun afternoon of cottaging at the public yer-i-nals instead of just spending the afternoon wanking in your hotel room. Or if you prefer I'll meet you in the restaurant for a BSE steak and chips then we can have a wank together and I'll bring some of my tossers to join us? I bet you wish you had a culture like ours in Belgium eh mate... sorry, tosser?!
------------------------------------------------------------
Ye tosser,
We might opt for public nuzzling before having a wank on the yer-i-nals. I hear its fun to propel them with the long poles!
Later on we’ll spend a thruppence on the pram fare that is bound to make a detour to the nearest hillsides of Yorkshire to try an Ely ‘84 or Ripon ‘88 for a rare treat indeed.

W T F!!!!
I am English and didn't understand a word of this. Must be Flemish...
"Goolies" in British slang, is the equivalent of Bollocks!!![]()
Really? Wow. What a strange thing to have for a tv theme song! LOL!
"C'mon everybody, join the Goolies! They're gonna do their thing for you. They kinda strange, but they're real funny. We know they're gonna like you, too!"
Or some such a thing.

never mind the goolies![]()
In England we have both of those cakes and they are quite different!

yes, usually. no 21 ep seasons with fillers for us!
did you get the I.T. crowd over there? i know there was an aborted attempt to make a US version (thank god) but thats really funny
I'd assume you've also seen spaced? its over 10 years old now, but still stands up, only 2 seasons sadly.
I'd also recommend The Day Today/Brass Eye if you like spoof news shows (theses were done in the 90's) and JAM if you like ultra ultra surreal comedy sketches (all done by chris morris, who also cameos in the IT crowd)
Breakfast...

Ok, so what is the difference?
