Your relationship with your bass is personal, so my short answer is “no”. I would sell it if you don’t like it for any reason.

I know what you mean. I had the Adam Clayton Jazz with matching headstock in sherwood green and eventually got rid of it. It is a beautiful color, its just not for me.

I did find that a mint green guard worked well on my Sherwood P. And a less ‘corned beef’ tort also worked wonders. The Custom Shop’s tort is awful.

Have it refinished in your favorite Fender color!! And get your favorite pickguard option to match .

I also am one that loves Sherwood green. I also love tort pickguards, especially on my Lake Placid Blue basses.......... but I have no love for tort on Sherwood Green. Dunno Why.
Now, I know a lot of folks have mentioned Gold Anodized, which would be a nice choice...... but I think if you went with a MINT pickguard, it would just ooze class and awesomeness! I owned an American Standard P bass in Sage Green Metallic, with a mint pickguard. It was a true beauty. I think this one with a nice, mild Mint 'guard would be absolutely stunning.
Or, if you want to keep the tort, you can always paint it CANARY YELLOW !!

It’s already the best color for a p bass. And probably my favorite. I have a relic’d Sherwood green p bass with an aged light mint green/whitish pick guard.

It looks great. Put it away for a while and pick up one of your other basses... you'll start thinking about it eventually and that's whey you'll start to love the color.
