Low Down Sound.....Again!!!!!!

Finally drove up to Lowdown on saturday. Dropped the wife and kid off at Old Navy outlet, and proceeded to test away. I first tried out the Eden 4x10. Quite impressed. Punchy, nice smooth bottom. I then went to the Aguilar 4x10. Tried it with one amp. Nope. Fiddled with the tone controls. Nope. Then used the Eden WT-800 that I used with their 4x10. Nope. Then tried out the LDS 3x8. Impressive, but still can't see it holding it's own live with my band. Then went to the Bergie 6x10. Quite impressed, but I think I liked the Eden a little better. There was a rattle going on somewhere that might've dissuaded me. So I was mulling over the Edn 4x10, and the LDS 2x15. Salesmen was talking up their cabinet. Still unsure. Then he pointed me over to the Epifani 3x10. WOW! That thing rocked! But finally settled on the LDS 2x15. Put my down payment down. About three weeks lead time. Let the waiting begin!

I heard that rattle in the NV610, too. In fact, I may have caused it! :eek: I cranked it a bit with my WWU. I am pretty sure that it was just a loose grill screw, though.

With regard to the 3x8, did you listen to just the one with the blue face, or did you also hear the Patterson 3x8?

I tried the Epi T-310 as well, and it is a great sounding cab. I liked the Bergie HT310 just a bit more, though, which is why it left with me! :D

Oh, and I just picked up an LDS 5x8 from the TB classifieds! :hyper:

You know, seems like every time an interesting cab pops up on the classified forum you wind up with it. :p

Hey Tom, Yes, it was the Blueface 3x8. And yes, your name did come up when I mentioned I was from Ohio! :p I;m pretty sure it was a loose screw as well, still disheartening to hear a rattle with that price tag. But I really thought the Eden 4x10 blew it away.

You guys gotta speak up when your rolling into town.
There are a few TB'rs here in the area that hang at Low Down quite regularly.
Shoot, I'm there all the freakin time! (it helps that I could walk to the place from my house.)
Speak up fellas!!
BTW a small GTG may be in the works, I'll let ya'll know.
