I think around 70 lbs, I'm not exactly sure. With the wheels and three handles it's a breeze to move. I just need to install skid rails, then stairs wont be a problem either. It is definitely easier to move than a 410 with casters or two 1x15 cabs.
Well, I went and done it again. Just ordered a Kappa 3015 in a box, metal corners, truck bed finish, no tweeter, and the BLUE cab front I love so much, to match my cabs pictured in post #1.
What the heck, it's been 2 years!
I am going to pretty much leave the build to Don, and I'm sure I'll be as delighted as I was the first time. Those two cabs are sittin' about 3 feet from me now, as I type with my bass in my lap...what a beautiful sound!

Talked to Don this morning via email. I guess he's picking up my cabs from the spray shop today.
He said he could get one of the cabs loaded and sent out next week and that he would call me in a couple days to confirm. I have to wonder how much longer it would take him to simply load both cabinets and send them out, rather than loading one now and one later.... Hmmmm.... I certainly hope these cabs are amazing, because the wait time is verging on unacceptable.

Don's cabs are great, I don't think you will be disappointed. Not sure how long your wait has been, but I once ordered from Earcandy and didn't get my cab for 1yr and 2 weeks from the day I paid. In that case it wasn't worth it.
Don said they are about 8 weeks out to start new orders. I'm glad he's busy, but it makes the wait time longer. BTW, he's gonna build me a lighter weight 215/tweeter cab with his 3/4" ply, loaded with JBL K140's( mine ). Can't wait to get old school again !
Don told me cabs went to the spray shop on February 13th. That's nearly a month on top of an order that was originally quoted to be finished the second week of January.
I'm reserving final judgement on the entire process until I have the cabs in hand. My outlook on all of this has changed drastically now that my 15+L appears to be dying... I need to get a hold of Jorg about that... That aspect of it certainly isn't Don's fault, but I think I'm reasonably justified considering it's now week 15 of what was supposed to be a 6 week build.
I'm just playing devil's advocate here, but I want to say you made a few changes to your order through the process, right?
15 weeks is a bit rough though either way. I can't say I am super surprised to hear 4 weeks for the spray shop - it's easy for a shop like that to get backed up or have issues. Combine that with the long drive (it's a day trip to go get cabs and another to drop them off originally) and it adds up fast.

Absolutely. That said, I ended up changing things to a more simple approach. On top of that, Don told me that he hadn't even started my cabs when I requested the change to my original request, so that shouldn't have added any additional time.
This would all be a non-issue had my 15+L not started pooping out on me, which, again I realize is not Don's fault, but it does make the extended wait time less bearable.
Custom stuff takes time. Don's a lot quicker than others. I've been waiting over 2 years for my custom 1911.

Apparently demand has stepped up for a couple reasons. Between Dr Bass finally looking like a chump to more aware people, and people realizing a two-way could be the ticket and the renewed interest in TL606 size 15s Don's probably having to work his buns off. Kind of seen this one coming for some time now.
+1 Last time I talked to Don, it was basically 'I'll call you in a month when I get caught up'. He said if he doesn't get back to a reasonable 6-8 week delivery soon, he will shut off the phone and order taking for a few weeks to make sure he gets caught up.

See! Now that's how you handle business, instead of just keep taking on orders when you know you have no way to fulfill them in a reasonable amount of time.
Being an artist that works on commission I can relate to Don. The more popular your work is, the more demand there is on your time and you only have two (honorable) options. Get more help, or scale back on accepting orders. Well, a third option is the best way (for the seller anyway)...increase prices to balance it all out.
Oops. Well, I meant that the third option was just for me. Don should just keep doing what he's doing.
