Sorry for your misfortune. But you make me feel vindicated vs. psycho excessive after ordering a 1515/66 from Don.
I plan to use it for large venues and outdoor gigs where our moderate PA is the only support.

I ordered an LDS 15/6/1 on april 13th --
"Tall fearful-style" with 18sound mid and XD125 horn

Was quoted 8 weeks, but I'm not strictly expecting that...

If I get it by july or even august, and it's close (or preferably at) fearful specs, I'll be happy...

I ordered a 10/6. At 4 ohms for my EA Micro (black face). Hopefully my upright will sound great through that combination.

Looks: Green and with a silver/green cloth grill.

Two 1-12 cabs. Tone profile of an Epi ps112, but 30LB weight.

If he can deliver that, I'll be done for cabs for a very long time.

I had a bridged Crown K2 on it so 1600 watts.

For example, to use four 4" tube ports (to get around 51 square inches) the tubes would need to be almost 15" long with a 44hz tuning.

My quick calculations in WIN ISD give a similar answer. In a 110 litre box (roughly 3.88 cubic feet) you'd need a port tube length of just over 15 inches. That's using 4 tubes of 4" inside diameter.

So, I blew the 3015lf out of my 15/6 cab Sat. night. I'd been skating on the edge of it's capabilities for quite sometime and finally went too far.

I had a bridged Crown K2 on it so 1600 watts.

I bet it sounded pretty damned good - right up until it didn't.

No, I'm suprised someone was using a 1600 watt amp with a 400 watt speaker in the first place.

I'd have done it...I used to bridge 3200 watt qsc's into 1000 watt cabs.
Just never pushed it real hard.
Sometimes one big note into all the headroom is enough.
