I sent my payment to Don on firday morning.. so I hope he sent out my cab there that day of monday
my cab just came in!! and the build quality is amazing..I plugged her into my AMpeg B25b and is sounds evrything that i hoped it would and more! nice tight low end, mids and great natural highs in a 1way cab. Oh and my upright sounds so natural through this setup with no feedback what so ever!

I haven't talked to Don in a while. He's taking advantage of the good weather to crank some cabs out and dig into the backlog. So, no time to run this stuff over to my place any more

yeah it is a Weber Mich.. Don says his tests shows that is goes down to 40hz easily that is sounds crisper/clearer than a JBL. I bought the Weber as I needed a 16ohm vintage sounding speaker and boy was i surpised jus how great it sounds!
Very cool. Don is really a lover of the old school. He's still talking about those JBL 140's or whatever they are that he built a cab for recently. He has always loved his mid driver loaded cabs, but he is all about the one way 15's!

That was my K140 2x15 he built. I also traded two vintage K140's to him as part of my payment.
One of my LDS 112s arrived today. Outstanding build quality. I can't see any flaws. The dark brown "western" tolex looks really sharp and contrasts nicely with the black cloth grill and black hardware.
I havent been able to crank it up yet (hope to do that Monday with the band) but at condo vol levels it sounds good. I did a quick a/b with my UL112 and the UL seems wider with more lows. I asked Don to build me a cab with punchy lows similar to a epi ps112. I think I need to crank it up more to get a better feel for it.

The bottom on those Eminence boxes will loosen up as you play them. I'd suggest breaking them in, as I don't know if Don does that -- run a sine wave at 30hz through for a day or so, lowish volume. Tone generators are easy to get on the net and will run on your laptop.
Also, the 3012HO will not be as big on bottom out of the gate as many commercial cabs, but it can take a lot of eq down there, so keep that in mind

Thanks RP. I should run that sine wave at 30hz before my wife gets home from work. Should really freak my 5 year old out.

Make sure you get it loud enough for the speakers to work. You don't want to damage them, but you should probably feel a bit of air coming out of the ports. I wish I could tell you a specific number of watts to put but there'd be no way for you to tell with the LM2.
When I got my Jack 12 from Leland, he had told me the specific volts @ 30hz he ran through to break it in but I cannot recall the number.

I got it going now. Not very loud, but definitely audible. I am just using the 10w from my PJB Bass Buddy with the volume about 1/2 way. The speaker is moving constantly and their is definitely air coming out of the ports.

He builds to order so you would have to call for a quote.

yeah i know that much but i was just wondering what some of you guys got yours for so i know a ballpark estimate on some choices before i get in contact with him for a quote since i'm not sure what i want yet
