Yeah, I've mentioned mine (that I bought off Tom B.) several times here, and a search on "LDS" will turn up many other posts. It's worth reading many of those comments, as there are plusses and minuses to think about.

FWIW, I have a 3x8 LDS now and it's awesome, and the only thing that could make it more awesome is an added subwoofer cab, such as a 15. Call Don up and tell him what you're trying to achieve, he'll have some ideas.
That would be a killer setup IMO. Don's builds are second to none IME. I'm scraping up the money to have him build me a second cab right now.
Another cool thing about Don's designs is that he can build a second cab to exactly match the footprint of your current cab (i.e., build a 115 that is narrow and a little taller so that your 3x8 can stack nicely on top). He can then tune the cabinet correctly, etc.
TBer Shelly has IMO the coolest LDS stack I've seen yet (it's voiced quite modern given Shelly's tone goals and playing style). It's a 210/115 stack, and each box is an identically sized small 'cube'.. (i.e., the 210's are mounted on the diagonal). She upgraded to the spray on coating, and went with a more traditional looking black baffle versus Don's signature blue baffle. The cabs are loaded with stock Eminence Neo's. That stack sounds GREAT... punchy, plenty of low end but not overextended, and the crossove and tweeter is beautifully voiced. Also, Shelly went with the very nice tweeter attenuator placement that is flush mounted on the side of the 210... NICE!!!!

hmm... that sounds interesting. I'm planning on having a 115 NEO built with the exact same footprint as my current cab, then having a NEO 210 built for those times when the room needs the punch of 10s instead of my current 12" 3-way cab. I dig the blue baffle though 
ditto. I have a 2-way 3x8 neo LDS. The only thing that could make it better would be too add a 12 or 15 sub.

I was going to hold off on mentioning this until it's officially in the pipeline. But I've recently been in discussions with Don myself regarding the construction of several three-way 1x12 cabs.
I've decided to definitely take the plunge. It'll be two cabs for now (or as soon as I can free up a little $$$ for the down payment), then a couple more soon after the holidays. The idea is to eventually have four of 'em to stack vertically, to be mated with a Carvin B1500 - for a flexible, high-powered, hi-fi modular big rig.
I have a feeling I'm gonna love these things. Here's the specs:
* (1) 12" long-throw ceramic woofer w/rubber surrounds
* (1) 6" mid driver
* (1) compression tweeter
* Frequency response - 30Hz - 18kHz
* Power rating - 350 watts RMS @ 8 ohms

* Dual 1/4 " inputs

I talked to don today about a neo 4x8. He said its rated 600 watts rms. If i have a crest ca9, will that be too much power?
Impedance is obviously a factor, but I prefer a lot of headroom and don't think it's overpowered even at 4 ohms (800 watts/channel; <0.1% THD 20Hz-20kHz). I assume you weren't planning to run the Crest in bridged mode.

Yeah, the LDS cabs are great. I use Low Down Sound for about 90% of all my bass transactions now! Great Guys. I've played alot of Dons different designs in the store through out the past couple of years and I can't remember one that I did not like in some way. Sure, there are different things you need to consider, i.e your playing enviroment. But, thats the cool thing about Don. He can build what you want/need to spec! Worth checking out!

Another LDS player here. I'm running a T' Funk 550 with a 210 neo and a 212 neo, both loaded with B & C drivers. The 210 as a stand alone is the best 210 I've ever heard. Here's a shot of Vision (Jason) testing a bunch of heads at a shootout we had. My Rig is to the left, and Shellys most excellent sounding rig is to the right . She runs either a Epi 502 UL or LM II thru hers.
Some claim that neo's aren't as warm, but I haven't noticed it. They are pricier, but significantly lighter. Both of my cabs (together) weigh less then my old 410 Eden and sound better. Don offers both B & C and Eminence Delta neo speakers. While I like the B & C's better, the differences aren't a great as they use to be, and Don has also found a source for lighter, but still quality cabinet wood. So I would probably buy the Eminence Deltas if I was buying now.
so are the b&c and the eminence delta's both neo? I guess i'll have to call don to see what the differences would be between these 2. This is kinda a side question but since i have a crest ca9 and a kern preamp, would i need a furman power conditioner?
do you have to run bridged with the crest even if you don't have 2 different cabs to run stereo?
Figure I'd chime in. I own the orange tolex 1x12" that's shown on the website. The tone is killer no matter what head I'm using. It's got a neo 12", 5" mid and a tweeter. I'm guessing their the usual Eminence speakers.
Weighs in around 32 pounds, side mounted pull-out handles, chrome corners, silver Fender grill cloth, tweeter attenuator on the side, 2 speakon and 2 standard plugs.
It puts out 450 watts at 8 ohms. I assumed I'd get another cab to match up with it, maybe a 15" for when I play my 5 or 6, but I'm pleased as pie with this cab as a standalone. Everything I wanted and then some!
