I really wanted the black LEJ that caesarbass just bought. It was around for a while, and I was going to trade my Sadowsky UV70 for it. But if you snooze you loose with Brian's basses. The red one he has had for a while is greatness, but I already have a red 5ver. Both of my LEJ's came with the strings thru the bridge, and they "spanked" so well that I left them as is. There will be another to come along if I am patient. I am really pleased that both my basses are showcased on Brian's website gallery. The ash/maple, and the blueburst/rosewood. Everywhere I go, all I have to do to show off my basses is go to his website gallery.

I just got an older LEJ, total 70's vibe. 20 frets, black on black with block inlays and black binding, 70's pickup placement. It definitely sounds different than my other LEJ. Both basses are complete homerun basses, I can't get them to sound bad...the black one has a little more natural growl but still has the bottom end and clear top end.
here are some pics of my LEJ's:

That looks like my first LEJ. By chance is there a small hair under the finish on the 1st/3rd fret block inlay?

Thanks for coming by the shop, sorry if I was a little displaced when you where there. I've been sleep deprived with the wife out of town for the week taking care of the house (cleaning) with house showings (its FS), the dogs which you heard winning in the back of the shop and running them back and forth as well as taking care of business. I look forward to getting the Blocks and SC's dropped into the Inca Silver and back to you. Hope you had a Great 4th of July.

* And to all our armed Forces around the world I want to Thank you for our Freedom here in the USA that you fight for everyday. Many of us here take it for granted to often and don't recognize the Service you give! Happy 4th of July

As the proud owner of the first LEJ Hollowbody, I fully expect this bass to blow peoples minds at Namm :)

It will completely change the perception that hollowbodies are shortscale, thuddy sounding antiques with baseball bat necks. Theres so much to like about this design. Lightweight, easy to play and it sounds incredible. This is a bass that plays like a lightweight jazz and still pumps out the best of HB tones.

That bass just looks so sweet! Is there sound clips available online somewhere for it? Congrats on such a great looking bass...
