Low End Jazz Megathread, post pics and soundbites!!

I am pretty sure the "p" pickup is too single coils wired in series. If the bridge pickup were a slim-bucker, it would be much lower in output from the singles. I noticed the other day at the low end shop, that in passive mode, the P pickup put out way more sound than a slimbucker. Brian said that was because they were true singles in series. Brian also suggested he could add a switch to flip the P pickup wiring to parallel which I thought was really cool.

well he could be doing it differently because of the switch I requested...Brian told me it would be all slimbuckers. Not really sure why but I'm just going to trust he knows what he's doing :)

the bass is great! I have been searching for a 6 string bass with a maple fingerboard. The playablity, feel, and the sound was great. I played yesterday at a church service and the director said it sounds great. It is kind of funny I played a similar LEJ6 @ NAMM 3 or 4 years ago and fell in love with it then. I had a Sadowsky that was similar ash/maple but it was a 5 string. I like both of them but because I have large hands the LEJ6 feels like a dream.

Very nice.
I had a 33" Shuker Jazz and the playability was off the charts!
I reckon you're going to be very happy with yer new LowEnd Bass.
Any more specs for us to drool over?... ;)

LEJ Classic 33” scale 4-string
Body- alder
Neck- 3pc maple w/maple fingerboard , black binding & blocks
Hardware- black
Preamp- volume/blend/bass-treble-stack/tone
Finish- lake placid blue with a matching headstock
Misc- black/white/black pickguard, chrome control plate, black knobs

It's basically going to be a really classy take on a modern jazz style bass, in my favorite colors. It's even going to have the lollypop shaped tuning machines I've always wanted!
