LPB - Black or Tort PG?

Lake Placid Blue - Which choice in Pickguard...Black or Tort?

Blue and red clash. While LPB and tort are not blue and red, they are still in the same general family. I like tort on black, sunburst, white, red, but not on blue or green bodies unless they are pastels.

For me the formula is simple:
  • LPB with dark fretboard = white pickguard
  • LPB with maple fretboard = black pickguard

I have a PJB in Lake Placid Blue.

Which choice in Pickguard...Black or Tort? Or is there another color you like? And why?

I bought the 4 ply Tort PG for only $10 from MusicLily on Amazon. I had to Dremel out a little around the P-Bass pickups but otherwise it was a perfect fit.
I'm a fan of black but without the while lamination. Solid black.
