Mad Professor Bass OD???

Just looks like two perfect green circuit boards when the bottom's off; I haven't taken it apart, but the jacks and pots are all soldered to the boards, as opposed to white spaghetti wire all over the place and a board floating in the box. I have no doubt all three versions sound good, but why pay more for something built less-well? At least the $300+ original was so black-gooped up inside it couldn't possibly sustain any real damage from normal use, haha.

I'm paying for mine today, it will arrive with my Dredgetone Angler should be here in about 10 days, then I will own the 4 best bass od's ever made (assuming this sounds like the BBBOD)

*EDIT* Forgot to say I've never had the BBBOD so will be judging this pedal on it's own merits, I might see how good my Ipad is for recording audio and get you guys some bass clips, been a long time since I've done some of those :D

Sorry guys, said id have some clips up yesterday but im running into issues with recording at the moment. Never had the original blueberry so i cannot compare the two. Luv this thing though. No bass loss whatsoever,has a full creamy fatness to it on some settings,not bright or harsh,and easy to dial in a great tone. Sure i would like an extra knob or two to tweak it even further but thats me being a "knobhead". Pedal kicks asses dudes.

On another note cannot wait to get my Dark Driving OD. Will be fun to compare em.

someone wanted to know how it looks inside. so it looks like this - really pretty boring :)

but I have to say that the pedal itself looks much better in real than in pics, the colour is really pretty "blueberry" and the white knobs fits the colour perfectly, its nice combination :)

Just got the MP 3BOD today. Spent about 15 mins with it so far.

First impression is consistent with what others have said – not as muddy/brighter than the BJFE and a bit more gain on tap.

I did a side by side with my BJFE and it is definitely different. In the short time that I had, the closest I could get the MP to the BJFE is the settings shown in the image below. Even then it is not quite like the BJFE – it has a brightness that is not present in the BJFE version.

While this setting would indicate that there is more gain available on the MP, to my ears it doesn’t appear to be a whole lot more.

The tone/nature control on the MP seems to have a wider range. Volume value seems to be the same.

The MP unit is much lighter, I suppose because of all of the black goo in the BJFE adding much heft. The LED is red rather than blue, so in that regard it is obviously inferior.

The big selling point of the BJFE 3BOD is the darkness/muddiness and while the MP version gets close, it doesn’t quite pull it off.
