ugh... dont get me started on the 5.56mm (.223) bullet. It is great for varmit shooting, but someone would be foolish to take a deer with it, as it has little stopping power and is not even legal to hunt big game with in most states. If this is true, then why do they insist on giving our troops that round? And the bullets they get are FMJ at that, not even a hollow point. the only thing that FMJs could, and often do, is just punch through a person. Only if the shooter is lucky enough to hit something vital does the bullet cause someone to not be able to fire anymore, instantley. I am just praying that they give our soldiers the new berretta uppers for the m-16, which uses the 6.8mm round, much more stopping power.
