Maki's Two Cents (part 5)

Hat trick- had to urban dictionary that one, then when I full-on lol'd my 10 year-old son came to see what I was laughing at. He read the first few lines of #6 here: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=hat+trick
Don't need your 2 cents ATM, Maki- & I know better than to offer mine here- :) just wanted to share.

Yeah. Hat tricks are a beautiful thing. They don't happen too often, but when they do, you suddenly realize the meaning of the song 'Zippity-Do-Dah.' My two cents. :)

My dad took me golfing the other day. A few times he would putt on the green and get the ball about an inch or so from the hole. Instead of putting again into the hole he would just pick his ball up, but still take a stroke as if he did hit the ball into the cup. Is this proper golf etiquette?

Never mind, that link was terrible.

There are a couple of asian chicks in my chemistry class and blah blah blah.

Should I try to wow them with my knowledge of anatomy or protein-based chemicals?

Based upon your posts around TB, I don't think there's any knowledge that you possess that's going to impress them. That's why I would recommend approaching them with enthusiasm and humor. Asian girls (in general and I need to emphasize that not all girls, and their Asian cultures are alike) like to laugh, and like to be shown things outside of their sphere of influence. That's your in. Be careful though. There kind, sweet, submissive ways are how they trap men. How do you think I wound up married with a kid? My two cents. :)

On crowded golf courses, while playing informal games this is known as a gimme. Instead of slowing down the the game by lining up a final put, people pick it up. The rule of thumb is usually a club length from the hole can qualify it as a gimme. Normally, you would give it to him, saying that you have confidence that he will make that last stroke. But during an informal game between you and your dad (unless there is money or a bet involved), your dad can do this, because in the end he has to live with his score. My two cents. :)
