Maki's Two Cents (part 5)

Did you know that beer can go below 32 degrees w/o freezing? A well-packed ice chest, w/enough water to fully submerge the bottom layer of soldiers, add a little salt(I forget why, but my boss in his VAST beer experience & wisdom advocates it)and let steep for a little while- crack open on a HOT day and INSTANT BEERVANA

I know if you mix salt, ice, and water you can make a warm beer ice cold in like 2 minutes tops.

Throw some ice, water and salt in a cooler and drop in your 6 pack and your drinking in 2-3 minutes instead of the 10+ in just regular ice water or ice by itself.

Obviously works for soda as well just not nearly as fun.

I haven't seen the Maximus at any of my local grocery stores, but a couple of beer-centric liquor stores near me have it on a semi-regular basis. I've had about 6 different Lagunitas brews. All have been outstanding. Cheers!

I have a good resource by my house. They know me by my first name there. Not sure if this is a good thing. My two cents :)

Sounds good to me. You buy the beers, I'll drink them. My two cents :)

It just means you're a loyal supporter of a local small business. You should be proud (I know that's not easy for you) of boosting your local economy. If they know you that well, ask them to bring in some things for you.

That reminds me of a bar my wife and I used to hang out at while we were dating. Our favorite bartender would start pouring our usual drinks for us as soon as we walked in the door, before we even found a place to sit. I liked that place.
