That Spyder is gorgeous. Definitely the "sensible" option but my dream Maserati is still the Bora.

I actually knew a man thought bought a Bora in the day when they were knew. He owned a car repair garage, and had to replace the alternator later: Even wholesale, it was $850 in 1979 USD!

Beautiful car, though the carpeted engine cover under the glass always seemed funny. Rode with him once up to 150 mph, we were haulin' the mail, and it sounded great. One of those cars that was different in real life than the pictures.

My mom got the Eagle Premier when it first became available. It was supposed to be the up and coming luxury car that would triumph over Audi and Volvo and put Cadillacs and Towncars to shame. Car and Driver touted its virtues, the motor press loved it. It did have some neat features at the time... but it quickly became more of a liability than a luxury. Fit and finish was terrible, the engine experienced frequent failures, the entire dash squeaked and groaned every time the vehicle was in gear, the electrical system was incredibly complex and finicky. It spent more time in the shop than it did on the road. She was always at the dealership, she pursued the lemon law... but somehow it just never met criteria because it was seldom the same issue more than three times (or whatever the requirements were back then). However there were so many issues. She finally reached the point where she would never lock the door and left the key in the ignition hoping someone would steal it. Unfortunately for her, I guess word got out about these cars so no enterprising thief would take her up on the offer.

My parents had one of these, and I don't recall there being a lot of problems with it. My dad hardly ever kept any car for very long,
though, so it was probably traded after a year or so. These were made by Renault, IIRC.

That car was made in Canada - at least the ones we had - they had a plant in in Brampton, Ontario. The exterior was actually designed by the same guy who'd been designing the newer Nikon cameras at the time. It was a good car, but it was lousily marketed.

I always liked MB cabs. I like the 'Yellow' (Yellow /orange IMO). But I always liked em.

Just not getting the Blue Bits. Maybe if the whole cab was blue, not just 'Part of the sides' It'd be a little better?

Or as mentioned, blue cones would be cool. OR, instead of Blue, match the color with the cones. I just don't get it. Likely won't affect me, as If I get a Markbass Cab, it will be the 'Traditional' Black/ w yellow(orange) cones.



Maybe it's for the.............................................................. Blues?

I see only Yellow not even a hint of Orange: not sure why but some of us see colors differently

But MB agrees with me since their Speakers are called 'Yellow Line'

Markbass has 4 new 'blue' cabinets in their lineup. Not sure if the blue panels actually have some sort of sonic function or is purely cosmetic. It's well known that the Markbass orange logo and cones are divisive among the bass community. I am curious to see how people feel about these?? Is Markbass at NAMM??

OK, I've given I'd a few weeks for this to settle…ahem…

I've never been a dedicated follower of fashion, but I kind of have the feeling in a few years these are going to be as fashionable as flames going down the sides of the family's 55 DeSoda…

On a side bar: In this day of ampless gigs and FOH support, using a 410 cab would likely get me fired.. regardless of what it looked like..lol…..
