Markbass blue cabinets

IMO they purposely tried to find a way to make a hideous cabinet even more hideous!:laugh::laugh:

God knows the last days of AMC were pretty unfortunate, but in its own way, that AWD Eagle was the precursor to so many AWD automobiles that have been common today, just as the 70's Grand Cherokees were among the first AWD luxury SUV's on this side of the Atlantic, an American Range Rover.

But oh yes I can remember a lot of GG/ID designs I liked way better. But way up the list for me were the OG Maserati Ghibli and Indy.

La bella machina . . .

Maserati Indy, the Ghibli as a full four seat GT, 4.7 V8. You can spot the 'stretch' for some back seat room, spot the distance between the bottom corner of the door to the leading edge of the rear wheel cutout vs. the Ghibli above. And the longer back side window is the instant ID for Indy, not Ghibli.

These were before the Citroen merger which brought the Bora, Merak, and the second gen Quattroporte, and were contemporaries of the Miura and Daytona, and to me, the favorite of those three, though the least remembered of them. Some of my favorite wheels with the real lug nuts behind the center cap.

Ghibli Spyder, B+B: Black and Borrani wheels. Mama Mia !
My mom got the Eagle Premier when it first became available. It was supposed to be the up and coming luxury car that would triumph over Audi and Volvo and put Cadillacs and Towncars to shame. Car and Driver touted its virtues, the motor press loved it. It did have some neat features at the time... but it quickly became more of a liability than a luxury. Fit and finish was terrible, the engine experienced frequent failures, the entire dash squeaked and groaned every time the vehicle was in gear, the electrical system was incredibly complex and finicky. It spent more time in the shop than it did on the road. She was always at the dealership, she pursued the lemon law... but somehow it just never met criteria because it was seldom the same issue more than three times (or whatever the requirements were back then). However there were so many issues. She finally reached the point where she would never lock the door and left the key in the ignition hoping someone would steal it. Unfortunately for her, I guess word got out about these cars so no enterprising thief would take her up on the offer.

Designed by Guigiaro, wired by Speilberg.

Markbass has 4 new 'blue' cabinets in their lineup. Not sure if the blue panels actually have some sort of sonic function or is purely cosmetic. It's well known that the Markbass orange logo and cones are divisive among the bass community. I am curious to see how people feel about these?? Is Markbass at NAMM??

Looks like our old neighbourhood recycling bin "blue" ...pretty funny.

By that reasoning, all the conventional black cabinets look like my garbage container.

Mine aren't that black, or textured... mine are kinda grey-ish... But a few people at the studio commented that the texture and colour reminded them of some of old pastic milk-crates. It's more that the blue they chose is essentially "blue box" blue.

Trust me, plenty of big black plastic garbage "cans" here in the states. They're the wheeled type that is grabbed by hydraulic arms the operator extends from the side of the truck. Just as big and imposing as our bright blue recycling cans.

That Spyder is gorgeous. Definitely the "sensible" option but my dream Maserati is still the Bora.
