Markbass blue cabinets

If you show up to the gig with one of these, it's definitely a statement piece.

I don't think this 'blue line' is executed well - it seems arbitrary in how it's done.... so it's a 'no' from me.
That said- there are a lot worse looking cabinet and amp design aesthetics out there than MarkBass. Black and yellow? At least it has more personality than just another black cabinet with black or gray speaker cones behind a nondescript grille. The yellow speakers have never bothered me. I'm not looking at the amp while I'm playing it. If I do, it doesn't render me unable to perform when I see yellow speaker cones. The red and yellow color combo used on the Big Bang head I gig with looks pleasantly 'sporty'. It's an Italian brand. Don't like the flash of a Ferrari or Maserati? Don't drive one.
I also used to gig with an Eden Nemesis NA320 that is powder blue with a big bright 'NEMESIS' light on the front, with my SWR cabinet stack(s). Some people hated the aesthetics of those amps back in the day too, but they sound phenomenal. Got me paid the same as any other amp I would have used.

I like the yellow ( not orange to my eyes ) drivers in black cabs and have two such boxes.
I'll agree with those that don't care for the blue, but is it really that big a deal? Yeah I'm kinda old and cranky, but really, this is important? I guess we need something to talk about!
Peeps hardly care that there's a band playing in the corner somewhere nowadays. Think they care or even notice what color some stage cab is?

A couple years ago a guy in a neighboring town had a GK 1x15 cab on FB for $50. Only problem was the entire cab, including the grill, was spray painted rattle-can red. I watched it for several weeks and finally thought WTH, I can spray paint it back to black. I told him I’d take it and was literally on my way to drive an hour to pick it up when he texted me that he sold it. At first I was PO’d, then I thought, he probably did me a favor…You just gave me an idea, I'll try it in Photoshop first to see how it looks. Could tape off the grill and paint those yellow Markbass logos black.
I bought a used Hartke 410 cab from a guy for 60 bucks cause no one would buy it from him. That happens when you paint the grill red
A 5 dollar can of Krylon flat black, a 3 dollar bottle of Testors' silver model paint and some masking tape fixed that issue.

I removed all my MB logos from the grills and the cabinets instantly go from looking cheap to high-end.
The MB logo is among the cheapest-looking logos of any piece of musical equipment. Might as well stamp "ACME" on the front.

I dunno... that honor goes to 'ORANGE', IMO.
I've got no problem with the yellow (I use a couple of Markbass cabs regularly) but don't particularly care for the blue in combination. When I saw the thread title I thought I was going to see Markbass cabs with blue speaker cones instead of yellow, which might have been interesting.
who cares what color a cabinet is? If MarkBass has buyers for these, good for them. If folks don't like the black/yellow or new black/yellow/blue cabinets - just don't buy them.
I buy cab's for the speakers and the power rating not for the looks.

Truth! SInce childhood, dark blue and gold has been a favorite color combo...but no longer! Well, maybe this could have worked with a darker, less neon variety of blue. On the real, aside from the visuals, I never dug the sound of MB speakers...I respect the electronics, but the speakers (experience with 1-12 and 2-10 combos) just don't do it for me.IMO they purposely tried to find a way to make a hideous cabinet even more hideous!
I don’t “care” per se, but I do find it truly comical. It’s widely known that a lot of people do (or more accurately don’t) care for the yellow.
Slapping another transformers-esqe color on this is straight up hilarious. A double down of impressive proportions. I tip my cap to their whole team for the commitment.
May we all be as sure of ourselves as Markbass is in its brand identity!

MarkBass are a wide range of products, and by all accounts terrific amps and cabinets. And I must admit the color scheme is brand identity personified. And I've always thought that the mindlessly endless parade of black boxes for amps, combos, and heads needed to have alternative color schemes a long time ago: Music is colorful, so I think the instruments and amps should be as well.
I just wish it was a different color ! If I had to go blue, a very regal navy blue might have done the trick.
