Markbass F1 Pricing

They're already adverstising the F1 in the German music press.

And guess what :smug:? The price has jumped up from the (previously suggested) 699 Euros to 899 Euros :eek:.

I take full responsibility for this ;) (not :ninja:) (my earlier post in this thread).

Let's hope that it has the same level of success as the LMII. Personally, I'd buy one as a back-up for my LMII (if I was gigging currently), even for that price, provided it could offer the same performance.

Waiting for the first reviews ... :)

I tried one at GC in NYC yesterday. I played a 5str Cirrus through a Mark Bass 210. I was not overly impressed. Maybe it was the speakers. I own an Acme LoB2 and play though an Aggie DB680. I know they are 2 different flavors of equipment but I definitely was not blown away. I would like to try their tube head.

Being that MarkBass is bass gear, I'm not sure why they'd put a reverb in there (extra cost for an effect that bassists use very rarely in comparison to guitar)- are there bass amps out there that even come with one outside of Line 6?

Yes. Acoustic Image added reverb to their bass line and it became a huge hit with jazz and acoustic guitarists as well as keyboard players. As far as I know, it has out-sold their non reverb amps. They recently introduced a guitar-specific combo amp.

Euphonic Audio has hinted around about adding reverb also.

Walter Woods offers reverb now.

Epifani, Acoustic Image, Euphonic Audio and Markbass amps all happen to sound fantastic for jazz guitar as well as acoustic guitar. I always tell folks who are asking about acoustic guitar amps to buy one of the high end bass amps and cabs. They sound much better than the acoustic combo amps that are currently popular.
