Unless of course he's just saying they're out of stock all the way back to the factory and are waiting on new ones to be made...
I've owned a LMK2 since November of last year have ran it through the UL310 since January. Between the LMK and Mesa Walkabout my amp gas has been cured. Since no photo no rig here you be.

I am not impressed with the Markbass warranty process so far. I used the Performance Guarantee web interface to log my intitial claim as outlined on the warranty documention. That indicated I would be contacted, or receive a response within 24 hours. It took two days to get a response.
The email response I finally received indicated that I should "call!" I could have done that in the first place! Two days wasted.
Then I called and was told they do no show ANY SERVICE CENTERS listed for Markbass. They said it will take two more days for them to contact me and tell me where to take it and/or have it shipped. Two days will be Sunday. DO you think they'll call me on the weekend? I doubt it.
By the time I endure the weekend delay, it will have taken about a week to simply figure out where to take the dead LMII for repair and where to send it. They boast it won't cost me a dime to ship. That's fine, but my amp is dead and I can't use it for gigs! Timely service response is most important to me.
Depending on where it needs to ship for service, that will incurr more delays due to ship time to-and-from the service center. I am guessing the repair time is going to be anywhere from 3 weeks to a month of downtime minimum. I hope I am wrong.Bottom line, I am not happy with the Markbass Warranty/repair process so far. Maybe I'm the first to use it and they need to work the bugs out. If I were Markbass, I would want the process to flow quickly, and with prompt response.
I am tempted to go buy one from my local GC, use it for a month and return it when mine comes back from repair. Hmm.
So far, that is not the case. My amp is only 5 months old. sigh. Gary

I'm not really sure. My guess is that they are out of stock and back ordered. He said he called their special order dept or whatever, and simply said that they wouldn't have them untill November.
Just out of curiosity, call the GC on Halsted in Chicago, IL and see what they say.
+1 I used the Gig-skinz bag with my wt550. The thought of racking it never appealed to me either, and it was much heavier than an LMII.
In reference to the Markbass rack ears, I did what somebody else on Talkbass did last year after they posted photos. I got a two space rack plate, traced the outline of the amp and cut it out with a saber saw. You use small pieces of aluminum angle to mount the amp to the plate with metric hardware. If you're careful cutting the hole and mounting the ears you can have the face of the amp flush with the plate and it looks much better than those expensive ears that Markbass is going to sell.
The reason I wanted to rackmount my LM II is for protection and to preamp it with my Sansamp RBI. It gets even louder with the RBI in front and I like to run the blend at 50%. You can add drive and presence to the point that a reasonable facsimile to the Cygnus X-1 tone is achieved or back them down for a basic SVT sound. Of course having a pair of 34 year old 4001's is part of that tone too.

Today I did the mount on a rack shelf thing. I just measured out and drilled some holes in the shelf, took off the rubber feet, got new longer screws and went up and in (keeping the rubber feet on the LM2). I think the shelf ended up weighing almost as much as the LM2! But now it is nice and securely mounted and I have some space next to it for my bass xciter and other whatnot, which I've been using a bit less lately as I've been able to coax some big low end up of the lm2.
All in all, took about 15 minutes to do.

Well, got back from another jam with the LMII and I'm still blown away... both times it was public transit with the LMII and my P bass. Last time I brought the berg too, but tonight there was a giant bag of rum and moogerfoogers so I was stuck with a kustom 215 (not a fan).
as the bag question comes up here and there, here's what I'm using currently... fits the LMII, cables, 3 small pedals, and a medium pedal. Suggestion came from SMASH, but I went a size up as I needed a laptop/textbook bag as well. for 50 bucks it was well worth it as it holds everything I need to get the amp/effects up and running comfortably without being overly cramped.

I got a nice email from Peter Murray at Markbass. (Very quick response in fact) My letter was expedited to someone at GC so they can take care of me. But as of now, it's been almost a week, and I still have my dead LMII in my home waiting to find out where to send it, or to find out what they are going to do about repairing it.
To be honest, I hope they replace it while they work out the bugs with the lack of an identifiable warranty/service center. I hope to hear something Monday from GC. If I were Markbass, I would not want to get bad press over a service issue for a $600 retail amp. Seems they would want to make sure their customers were taken care of promptly. A little bad press travels fast. (Again, I do not mean to discredit or demean Markbass at all. This is a GC issue! I LOVE my LMII and I am very impressed with Peter Murray and Markbass)
What good is the best warranty in the business if you can't get your out to the service center, repaired and returned? Gary
that amp should be replaced by Guitar Center IMO.
Especially if the amp isn't even 5 months old.
Peter has replied to me several times. I give him credit for doing quality control on your amp. He seems to be a great individual to deal with. Still the jury is still out on LMII.
Will this be a throw away amp......play it til it breaks....or something that lasts? This answer will not be know for a few years. Is it all hype?
The truth is out there.
