Markbass Megathread PART 3

These models are available in the US. If they're not in stock at your local Guitar Center you can have them ordered in to the store or to your door. There's a 30-day return policy and 2-year exchange warranty.

Dave doens not have them in stock but he might be able to order them. Dave is a super guy to deal with !!!

Definitely, if you can afford the Classic 300 and the 6X10 cabinet, the MarkBass will suit your needs, especially in a metal Band, in my opinion.

i just picked up a LMII to run through my recently acquired accugroove el whappo...it looks silly, but after listening to it, the silly grin would quickly become a 'whoa!' grin :D sounds friggin' huge! i'm playing my mtd JJ5 (ash/ash/maple) through it...man, color me black and yellow (accugroove as well as markbass)...i'll post a pic later

How funny...I just picked up my El Whappo to primarily play with my GBE1200, but I decided to hook the El Whappo to my LMII this weekend. When my buddy came over this weekend, he sort of laughed, because of the two opposite pieces being used together: one small and light and the other heavy, but the sound was huge coming out of that pairing!

I'm playing a P bass with NP4 pickups and LaBella Jamerson Flats. Its best to use headphones to hear the bass properly... unless, unlike me, you have really good speakers hooked up to your computer.

sounds pretty awesome, doesn't it? funny you say the accugroove is heavy, though :D it's the lightest feeling cab i've had in a long time...i think that my old eden d115xlt is spec'ed lighter, but the accugroove is easier to pick up and move around up and down the stairs at home and whatnot...i dig it

i can't see the pic because i'm at work, but i'm assuming that's your F1 and epifani series 2 UL410? :D i had planned on buying the lmII AND the F1 to test drive with my accugroove, but the F1 was out of stock at the time, so i just picked up the lmII...i am _quite_ pleased with it...i may try out an F1 later on, but i'm not sure i could be all that much happier with it...i did try the F1 and the sd800 with a couple of cabs at GC, but i'm not sure those cabs were really that great a reference...i liked all of the mb heads i played...they all brought something

+1.. the Whappo surely doesn't need the top end reduced or sweetened with the VLE. With the Epi's more aggressive tweeter, I sometimes engage the VLE just a touch to take the edge off.

The EQ of these heads is very good to fine tune the response to even very different sounding cabs like the Whappo versus Epi stuff. Nice!

Actually considering what it is, the El Whappo isn't that bad of a hoist, even without the neo drivers. I would agree with you, I can maneuver mine around really easily all things considered. It will get even easier to move if I decide to have the neo 15' installed in it as well.

The tone is huge though with that little LMII and the El Whappo!

hi all. n00b here. I have an SD800 that I love love love. I have been pouring through the multitude of MB threads and cant find the one piece of info I'm looking for. Which rack ears can I use with the sd800? my local dealer was of no assistance and just got confused when i pointed out the differences between the 2 types they have on their website. additionally i'm a bit ticked that the SD800 I bought at GC didnt come with rack ears. from what i've read here it was supposed to.

anyway...anyone have any ideas what rackears i use on the sd800.

yeah i'm kinda annoyed having read that here this morning. i bought it a few months back and always thought "hmmm those are screws for rack ears" but didnt really need them at the time as gigs had slowed down a tiny bit. but now I *really* need them as i'm doing a lot more longer distance gigs and i need to rack this thing before it gets a damaged.
