Markbass Schematics

I just want them to have the stones to say "this is our company policy and we don't offer schematics to end users so quit asking".

Really doubt that they don't know about this thread as historicly Mr. Murray has popped right in to either bask in the glory or answer the cream puff clean and easy questions.

And what kind of name is Murray for the rep of an Italian company; it doen't even end in a vowel :p

For sure! They really don't mind answering the fluff questions, but don't really avoid anything with any real substance and they avoid the truths! A great company, huh?

For me, this is a company with great design and manufacturing capabilities but lousy tech support after the waranty period.
Their exclusive allignment with GC and MF is also not very attractive but I could understand this from a business perspective as it might have been the only way for a relatively unkown (to the U.S.) company get established so quickly. I wonder how much they have to discount to the mighty MF in exchange for such strong marketing, store presence, and distribution support?

I think this rings really true with GC more than MF. Since MF has no service centers and GC who thinks they are a service MECA! Anyway, Markbass has NO customer loyalty when it comes to out of warranty repairs. They proved it with me. They only are looking out for the #1 - themselves. They have no reguard to anyone who has knowledge of repair of anykind and they have no respect for any of their customers unless the Markbass is sent to one of their facilities.
While Fender, SWR, GK, and a whole host of major companies put forth an effort to not only keep old customers happy by supplying information to us, but by doing so, they create a customer base of people who know they can get service for their equipment long after the warranty and they tend to bring people back for the next purchase. Sorry, I am a Business Owner, I have my degree in Business - Marketing and my minor in Research and Development.

God forgive me for sticking up for a manufacturer....but.
My observation is that Markbass is a reputable company who
have faults like any other company. A number of the people
in the company are quality players, (like Peter Murray) who
really care about and use the products.

I think because failure rates are so low, they haven't been as
focused on repairs. Now that they've been around for a while
and older products are starting to need attention, they will
start being more attentive to repair issues. From my limited
observations, Peter is a well intentioned, nice guy, who is a
good musician with a BIG job load. Unfortunately, there are
always some issues that seem to fall through the cracks.

Most certainly a very high degree of correctness here. Unfortunately, I am one customer that is in the cracks and they (Markbass) does not want to help out. This shines very poorly on any company that is trying to work in this type of products and to deal with us the end user and owner. They have proven (with me) that they do not want my business, they are not interested in helping me, nor are they at all interested in keeping my business (current or future).
So, the amp that I so looked forward to getting is now up for sale.

I have dealt with Markbass on a number of occasions and have
NOT always been satisfied. My comment was more about the
quality of the people I've dealt with at Markbass. They don't
seem to get it quite right yet, but I believe they are trying to
get it right. At some companies they just don't care. jmo

At this point it's a non issue for me, now that I no longer own any MarkBass Products.

I had been dissatisfied about some of things the company was doing from the time I purchased mine until the day the last piece of MB gear was gone.

MarkBass seems to be a bandwagon amp. It proved to be one of those products that could be purchased just to start a thread. After all they are cheap enough. The longer I had mine the more fake it became (like the loud button being on til she runs out of steam).

That whole spec moving around thing on products that were already in my possession got me miffed pretty darn good.

Oh well.
Sa La Vie.

Well, To Me, the people I delt with so far at MB are just not at all listening to my situation (Every one is different) they are not addressing my problem, they are not at all concerned with me as a customer, they have treated me coldly and without regard to my problem. Very bad!! Again, this is my situation and I fully realize that there are people out there that have been 1000% happy and satisfied with MB

Can you give a brief recap of your issue with Markbass. It
would give us (me) more insight.
