Okay good for you, but after another hour I am still not able to connect the unit to my new Mac Book Pro.

The wet/dry settings are just the right mix for me.

The Octaver works fine. I connected my MB Chorus/flanger to my Mac and it will not connect either.

Have any of you had trouble connecting MB pedals to Mac's?

Main thing is how to connect! Yes I have the tab on Super/synth

U can tell Im confused and want this to work!

Okay, you may have seen my previous posts about not being able to connect the MB Super Synth to my Mac Book Pro - Mac OS X 10.6.4 - MANY hours spent going bozo!

I finally installed the software to a PC and it works.

Man the sounds that I have created in less than an hour - 4 outrageous custom settings I LOVE what I'm hearing!

Many thanks to Peter from Mark Bass for taking the time walking me through the quagmire that I got twisted up in.

So... not Mac compatible?

Peter tells me that it is Mac compatible. The software comes in both PC and Mac versions. It is apparently a problem with my Mac or the Super Synth software is not ready for the latest Mac OS; Mac OS X 10.6.4 (10F569). It will work with my Mac after getting some advice from a mac whiz eventually I'm guessing.

But I am keeping this Super Synth; it gives me so much more to work and play with, the possibilities are almost unlimited!

I really hope I don't have to go through this as well. I was able to edit and save a preset on my mac but I can't remember when I upgraded to 10.6.4, may have been after I used it with the software. Having the pedal at my practice space isn't so convenient, having to bring my laptop with me to each practice to tweak it.

Can anyone tell me what parameters to tweak to get the pesets to trigger immediately without any lag?

Just in case readers need it....

I had an initial issue connecting (on a new mac book pro running 10.6.4)....and then saw the post that said 'hit synth tab' then connect. I did that and it did NOT connect. then I hit changed the mode to Octave (within the synth tab), then hit connect and it connected. wacky!

If i go BACK to the chorus tab OR the reverb tab, it says NOT CONNECTED. I guess that is for other hardware?

I get the same Network message, but I just ignore it and can use the software. Make sure you select the synth tab (not the chorus) and then press connect..

I have the MB SS and a Bass Big Muff Pi and have spent about 10 minutes trying to get a Hysteria-like tone. Basically just went through the SS presets but dialed down the level/dry mix a lot. It sounds pretty decent, but I know I'm going to need to spend some time tweaking the SS software to get anywhere actually close.

Have any others given this a try? Would love for folks to share some "real-world" SS settings!

It says "not connected" because you don't have a chorus or reverb pedal connected ;)

So could you run this thing from the voodoo labs pedal power plus, if you switched the DIP switch on it says it would power at 12.3 V with a 60 mA max current or on the 5th or 6th channel 12V (unregulated) with a 200mA+. The markbass site says it needs 12V with 550 mA minimum. I don't really know what that means :) so can somebody who does let me know if that would work?

^No. The PP2 doesn't produce enough power for the Super Synth. My G5 had a minimum power requirement of 400mA and the PP2 could not get it enough juice, so 550 is definitely out of the question :/ Getcha a power strip!! :D
