Master sub short scale bass builder shows off his masterpiece!

I think it was quite considerate of the white coat guys to let this person out of his padded confinement cell for an hour to allow him to record a video of himself living out his secret fantasy of being a master bass builder. I think we all need to be as understanding as possible when it comes to accommodating people like this who have "special needs." Perhaps next week he will become a famous race car driver, and the week after that, an astronaut, and then, maybe a fireman.

Well, I have a subscale bass that I built for much less than $2,500. But it doesn't have bad tone or finish so it's definitely much lower on the cool scale.

I know there's some of you who are still disbelievers after having seen this amazing demonstration.

No matter what you say he is right about one thing though:

"The smartphone and iPhone has killed the guitar, the guitar is dead!"

Such true words, the words of a true visionary, this man has seen the future!

Heck, he is speaking from the future.

Imagine this:

We are in a postapocalypso scenario where the smartphone and iPhone has gotten so smart they control the human mind.

In a devastating scenario of total war between the two giants, in the struggle to take over the dominating role as enslavers of all of human kind, the Earth has been lain to waste.

It is said so, that in the darkest hour of mankind a savior will rise from the ruins, and come to our rescue in the last hour of need, a boy who made himself a bass guitar out of scraps.

He alone will save human kind from this technological nightmare, as the only last true keeper of the old sacred esoteric knowledge of playing the guitar, and he will build an army of the last rebelling humans not yet enslaved by smart and iPhones, and he will teach them how to play the guitar!

Need I say more?

I at least am convinced that what we see here is in fact a video send from the future by this very savior, to warn us of the fate worse death that the future has in store for us.

(Note that I don't actually believe in this, it is however what I imagine might very well have gone through this rather odd personality's head when he recorded this video. At least it would kind of make more sense that way.)

I dunno, I can kinda dig it, with a better headstock at least. A short-scale tele-ish bass? It'd probably sound better through a real amp, and with a real player, probably needs real strings too. Now, 2500 bucks, PLUS having to "qualify"? Maybe for three hundred.

As for revolutionary, the guy came up with the perfect bass for your kid sister, which with six strings would be fun for some nashville stuff, and maybe seven or eight would also make it perfect for your kid brother. Revolutionary? no. Worth 2500? not for me at least. Necessarily crap even though the guy making it is a more than a bit interesting? I wouldn't say that either.

Literally the next paragraph:

"
As I was reading their promotional text for their pedal, I was shocked and got this aerie feeling that they were describing my own Tone Lube. The description they gave their overdrive pedal was exactly what I was just about to write about my own Tone Lube. Its like they took the words out of my mouth and my brain. I thought for sure they must have copied the Zachary Tone Lube even before it was released. How could that be? Freak me out. These Chicoms are now not only genetically engineering humans but also reading minds."

Yikes...

Not trying to spam, but there's just so much:

"You have seen ads by a certain boutique amp company which reads "The Pedal Killer", well then in reverse the Tone Lube is the "Amp Killer". Join the Amp Killing Tone Lube with a Pedal Killer Amp and what do you get? I am certain you will get the best tone you ever heard. Unless of course you are a snot nose kid with a nipple ring at a skateboard park, who just bought a Chinese 8 string guitar for $199 and wants to scare people with demonic riffs of muddy horrible noise resulting from atrociously unbalanced under-tensioned strings. Don't get me started, that's a different discussion for a different time. From Clapton to Crapton in one generation. What a shameful regression in culture, knowledge and talent. Enough to get you totally depressed if you are anyone over the age of 30. I hope baby boomers live forever, just to keep traditional guitar playing alive, otherwise real guitar players are an endangered species with a disappearing habitat."

Hi,

Is this guy serious? If so, the joke goes on waaay too long. :)

I tried to watch the whole thing, made it to 10 min.

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

I only made it 10 seconds into the video.
Bass tone sucked, bass looks like crap, he's a horrible salesman.
Even if he offered it to me for $99.00 w/free shipping....I'd decline.
