It feels exactly the same. It's a CV without the sticker.
Don't know who Matt Freeman is, but this looks a lot like the Roger Waters sig. IMO, a black/maple P-Bass with a black pickguard is not a Signature bass: it's an industry standard.

Is that a gloss clearcoat on the neck/fretboard? And is it tinted or at least darker than the maple on the VM models?
Yes, it's clearcoated. If you've seen/felt the Classic Vibe 60's, it's exactly the same tint and feel.

Just got her a little bit ago...the neck is really quite reasonable, i was expecting thick considering i have 3 jazz basses...but its really not bad at all, looks great and feels even better really comfortable. I'm really quite pleased...gna do the set up a little bit later and....
let the fun begin
Tell me how it sounds! Those pics hit me with G.A.S
Pete Wentz wouldn't know punk if even if Sid Vicious hit him across the face with his P bass.
Note:
Pete and Sid are probably two of the worst bass players of all time.

Bass came in yesterday......BEAUTIFUL. This thing is awesome. The neck is gorgeous and the setup was pretty perfect. Running my hand up and down the side of the neck is smoother and softer than most American standards. played it through some headphones coming out of my Zoom B2.1u and it sounds great. Can't wait to get home tonight and play it loud through my 410. Seriously, I can't find a flaw on this. Pics to come tonight...
I'm very curious too... I'm looking at a new P maybe but don't wanna spend too much cash. I do want a maple fretboard though and this seems to be the only split coil P in the Squier gamma that has one. Plus the white. I like the white. A lot.
