Any idea what's involved in replacing the TR? May be worth it to fix....
I know I would love to have your bass.

I did!! I did try out a Wal mkII first that I didn't love the feel of (mainly the balance... and the neck was a little odd to me), though I loved the tone. I'm still a little obsessed with getting maybe a MkI or MkIII someday but I did love this Viking so I went for it... For now. :) Really enjoying it!

Yes, a couple of different options are having someone just make on whole new neck or have someone heat the fretboard off and replace truss rod. If I recall, it was about $500 - $600 at the time but I just never had the money to do anything about it and as it turned out the neck never did move much.

It's amazing!! They had one at CME about four weeks ago (but that one is sold now, it appears) and played it there, and upon coming back to Europe, I ordered one from the UK. It is paid now, and should arrive hopefully within the next couple of days! Super excited about it!

But, yeah, a 5'er of this would have been even more dangerous! Beautiful bass, punchy, and played like butter (and I hope mine does too!!)
