True, but some hold much more power than others and use said power to force their personal moral beliefs upon everyone else. That's the difference.

All abuse by a pervert is accomplished by some type of force or coercion. To say one type is more enraging than another diminishes the offensiveness of the "less enraging" type, and I say all types are equally enraging. I fail to see how a religious pervert is more enraging than any other unless such a claim serves to validate your bias against religion in general, which a few posters in this thread obviously have.

Specifically at rehearsal, when I'm singing lead on a song we're learning and I'm trying to do the lyrics from memory (no cheat sheet in front of me) and if I forget a word or phrase, one of the other guys starts singing my part. Defeats the whole purpose. I've had to tell people to please not do that during rehearsal. It messes up the whole learning process.

I was merely commenting on those who saw "mythological perverts who use their "holy book" as the reason for them to promote hatred, bigotry, racism to the general detriment of the rest of the world" as people in need of defense. Those people seem to have rushed to defend people like al-Baghdadi because they perceived it as a slight against their group, even though no group was specified other than "mythological perverts who use their "holy book" as the reason for them to promote hatred, bigotry, racism to the general detriment of the rest of the world".

Basically they doth protest too much. I would hope that if someone were religious they would mind when religious people are hypocritical or hateful. Nowhere did @fjadams say anything about religious people in general, only a specific category of bad actors.

I fell into that clan for awhile (as a last resort) but you're correct, those AAers are pretty nutty when it comes to that book.

Honestly, I see nothing too specific about that comment. It could apply to any of the dozens of groups that folks belong to.

I have been left shaking my head when I've seen folks wait for an elevator right beside of a stairwell, only to go down one level.
