Mesa 200 Buster club

Count me in. L-O-V-E my Buster!

Picked up the 15 combo a couple of years ago and then added the matching 15 extension cab (it was a happy day when I found that!).

Super sweet running clean, but also a really musical little growl on call.

I actually find the EQ with the footswitch pretty useful for adding a boost or just different voicing for a section.

Here is a picture of my Buster 15 combo with a bagend S15D sitting on top. Though it's a real heavy set up, (160 lbs) I really like the sound. I am thinking about removing the head from the combo, but can't find a head case for it. Anyone know where one can be found? Anyway, can I have a number.

I rehoused one of mine. Mesa actually built it for me. Wasn't cheap, but fit perfectly and is 100% Mesa for resale....

For any of you looking for a sick overdrive on your buster... oh man. Try a B7K or a B3K with an Sansamp RBI rack, sounds so sick. I can get anything out of that head now. Not too bad considering I'm running into an ashdown 410 that I picked up for 400 bucks.

Tying into that matter, I'm looking at getting an 810. Ampeg, Mesa, SWR? What should I go for? I want a deep monster overdrive that is really just thunderous.

Well I'm trying to get a good power handling/portable stand alone cab for my buster. Here's the link to the thread I started http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f15/manageable-stand-alone-cab-buster-bass-200-head-992834/ please chime in and enjoy the read! Heck there's even a poll on the cabs I'm considering. Feel free to chime in on your opinions. ALSO one of the my deal breakers with a cab is, that it has to be at least as wide as the buster head (just under 24" I think).

Would it be ok to run my Russian muff through the effects loop? I want to be able to use the blend option. Ive read in some threads here that effects loops were not made to run pedals. I also read about plenty of guys that do it too. Thoughts?

It depends on the design of the effects loop. Some will work fine with instrument-level pedals & some work better with line-level rack type processors. You just need to experiment to see! Be sure to use care with your master volume just in case there are any surprises.
