Ok. I have to ask this, because I have found no one else using this. I am using a Mesa/Boogie Quad Preamp. I know it is mainly used for guitar, but this thing is the best tube preamp I've ever used. It blows away the competition, it has pretty much everything in there. My question is: is there anyone else using this preamp out there for bass? And if no, then why not?

I've been asking this for years, as I know others have as well. :)

Nobody really knows? Maybe they just don't want to mess w/ the preamp market, even though they completely pwn it in the guitard world.

I know they used to make a Bass Triaxis, or maybe was just a one-off/proto. I know someone used to have it here, maybe Benjamin Strange?

So that Quad is workin' for ya, huh? :) May have to check that out one day.

It is very versiatile. There is no better tube tone, and it will get HUGE with enough low end to melt the paint of the walls. Take the 400+. Triple the tone selection capability. Use it with a poweramp and step back. Oh,... I forgot. Add the footswitch and you now have 4 channels with 6 unique settings. You do need patience though, there is alot in there, so it may take a while.

I'll have to check that out someday, for sure.
