Well, I just pulled the trigger today on a Mesa Basis M2000 to replace my beloved and recently sold 400+. With three kids all under the age of 4, I can't afford to have a power tube short and blow the guts out requiring expensive repairs. I really like the versatility of my backup amp, an HA3500. I did some research and found the M2000 is like a HA3500 on some serious performance enhancing drugs. Twice the power, compression that doesn't suck the tone dry, and two independent, blendable, and switchable preamp channels, and classic Mesa tube OD.
