Mesa/Boogie Official Club Thread...Part #2

It does sound glorious. I haven't had a chance to try it in a band mix yet, but at home it is wonderful. I wouldn't really categorize myself as a 'tube' guy, but I think the buster is bad a$$. It has the quickness and punch of the M6, but seems like there is a whole lot of other harmonic content coming out of this beast. I was a bit apprehensive about the 200w rating, but through the 215's it gets LOUD.

I'll give more details when I've used it more. I think I may use it instead of the M6 at my next few gigs.

I don't think I've posted pics of my current Mesa gear line-up on part 2... I use the 15 for rehearsals and coffee shops and the 212 for most other gigs.

Matt Dean is officially #1 on the next owner of the Buster rig list I'll definitely bring it to the next GTG.

On a whim I took it to my gig last night. At this point all I can say is the EQ on this thing is wacky. It's going to take some getting used to!

I bet that setup sounds good. The Buster wedge always makes me think of 80's era Sci-fi for some reason.

Yep, you pretty much get volume control of each freq. Graphic EQ might sometimes be very handy.

With the extension cab it is just enough to hang with my band, but not quite as loud as I would like it to be.

You may wanna try the Buster combo on top of something other than the 1x15 ext. cab. Maybe a 4x10 or a 2x12? You might be needing more cone area.

However... the 400+/2x PowerHouse 212 stack I ran 'once-upon-a' could get battlefield loud. I just never needed all it could give! The 400+ driving the stack of your choice should be "just what the Dr. ordered"!
