Thanks I just added a EBS Valve Drive a Maxon Master Distortion and a Para EQ I love this Mesa I'm a bedroom rock star so I had that pedal board and platform built by a guy who does some great custom work

I don't know if this has already been posted, but I was just looking at Mesa's website and noticed they list the Powerhouse 1-12, 2-12, and 4-12 cabs now have ceramic drivers instead of neodymium. Looks like the cab's weights are the same as before, though. :confused:

I bought my pair of Powerhouse 2-12's around this time last year; I'm glad I was able to get the cabs with the Neo 12's before they switched over to the ceramics. They're pretty easy to schlep around. :cool:

I'm playing a fund raiser in about a week for a close friend/local fulltime musician who had to have emergency surgery recently. I'll be using my 2-12 cabs with my Crest/Demeter setup; I can't wait!

I recently changed out the 4 ohm driver in a 12" Walkabout Scout to an 8 ohm one. I noticed that they had different markings, but didn't take the time to really read everything on each speaker. I'm going to take it apart tomorrow, and take apart the extension cabinet that's 8 ohm also, so I can look to see if they are all ceramic, or not. The speakers that I traded out already,were pretty close to identical in weight. Other than that, what am I looking for to tell the difference? Markings, colors, numbers?
I'll report back tomorrow afternoon.

I'll bet the weights posted on the site are wrong:(
Those cabsd were already much heavier than most of the competition, even with neos.

Crappy cell phone pic, but here is my Mesa PowerHouse 6x10 cab. I do hope to replace the Peavey amp one day with either one of the Carbine's, Titan a V12, or some other Mesa amp and make it a complete Mesa rig. Love their products.

Was curious,
Will the high power Mesa heads sound decent at lower "home" volumes?
Or do they need be pushing big air to get the good tone from them?
Not in a band now, and have no idea when time will let me join or start one?
Am on the fence about rolling a full GK rig to convert to Mesa.
I am considering either the M9 Carbine or the M-Pulse 600 at this point.
Just want to be sure I can get good tone from either head with volume at 3 as well as 8 settings.

Not at all I have a M3 Carbine and I play at bedroom levels the entire Carbine series has tone for days at any level with the master volume at 12:00 and the gain around 9:00 or 10:00 I can shake the walls in my opinion nothing comes to close to a Mesa although I'm sure others would disagree buy one you won't look back
