Here's my new beastie; I traded my Bass 400 for it:

It's a killer amp, but I haven't decided if it's for me yet. The Bass 400 was cool, but I was tired of worrying about putting in bias pots and the right tubes, etc, whereas with my older 400+ it was pretty straightforward- 6L6's and lots of them!. As far as mosfet amps go, however, this thing slays everything else I've owned or tried! I'm a big fan of the Big Block 750's tone, and this is the same amp, just more of it. My only problem so far is that the Titan is a little hot for my old Diesel 2x15EV; if I end up keeping it, I'll eventually need a sturdier cab. I'd likely nab an 8-ohm Mesa 2x12; this thing at full power is a little more than I need at the moment.

just the man i'm looking for - tone wise, how does this amp compare to the 400+? i have thought about selling mine and getting a titan.

i FREAKIN LOVE my 400+, so it would have to be very close!

I have some new "Mesa guts" pics on my site

Can anybody tell me what type the 10 inch speakers are?
I think the 10's in the PH1000 are EV's, could the 10's in the Diesel 210 be from Eden?
Both 15 inch speakers are EVM 15L (vintage series in the PH1000)

Edit: The speakers in the Diesel 210 are Eden EC1060F speakers.

Well it looks like tomorrow I'll finally be completing my basic dream rig by upgrading my Yorkville XC210 to a Powerhouse 210... along with my Powerhouse 115 and Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0 head it's going to make for a mighty fine, compact and reasonably portable rig with some balls I should say.. I'll take pics once I have it all together!
