Me too. I love mine with the two 15" Scout cabs I have, but I haven't found a cab yet that it sounds bad with. I have run everything from a small 2-10 to a fridge and it rocked them all.

This is so true, I like this head through every cab I've ever plugged it into. I definitely cannot say that about some other heads I've had!
Yep. My Shuttle 6.0 seems to be very moody. It only likes about every 5th cab I plug it into. But the Walkabout just doesn't care!

I can say the same about some of the other heads I've owned, such as the Genz Benz GBE600 and NeoPak 3.5, EBS HD350 and an Ashdown pre with QSC power to name a few. I really like my GK 1001 RB II through my Epifani PS series cabs, but not as much through my GK cabs. The Walkabout sounds great through both. I think it is the ability to warm up cabs that you may find bright or harsh coupled with the incredibly versatile but usable EQ.
The only one I didn't care for was an Avatar 410 I used for 2 rehearsals for a reunion show. The bassist from my old drummer's band was nice enough to leave it at their practice space for the 2 rehearsals for the show for me, but I couldn't even get the Walkabout to make it sound like I wanted. I'm pretty sure though it was the cab. I then set in with their band for 2 songs one night and played his whole setup. He had a GK 700 RB II and Fender Geddy Lee Jazz, and the sound on stage was lacking their as well. If I plugged that bass and head into any of my cabs, I'd be able to get a pretty nice tone.
As much as I have loved Avatar cabinets over the years, they do have a certain honkiness that I find difficult to remove.
I have a question for the Walkabout crowd, "would the Walkabout be a good amp for recording?" (low noise).

I have an M6 rig for my gigging (cover band) situation an love it for that. I'm on the verge of getting a Walkabout
combo for recording/practicing in my home studio and was wanting to hear some opinions from the Walkabout owners.

+1 the difference between the WA vs. the Carbine is drastic. I love both, but for different reasons. If you wanted to record bass tones with a warm, vintage vibe, I could think of no better amp than the WA.
Thanks Chef! From what I've read I figured it would be different, is it just more tube like and not clean like the M6?
The music in my cover band is way different that my original stuff so I think that would be ok.
How is the D.I. out on the Walkabout? I'm hoping for low noise/hiss.

The Walkabout DI is one of the best built in DI:s I've heard!

The Walkabout is very harmonically rich, compared to the very clean M6/9.
The Walkabout can and will overdrive very much like a tube amp, depending how you have the gain structure set between input and master.
It records very well, and I've never had anyone complain of DI hiss or the like.

Went to GC today and all they had was one floor model Walkabout that was pretty beat/scratched up
it sounded excellent to me but they wouldn't come down a dime on the price.
So I'm going to order a new one.
