Mesa Boogie Walkabout Mega-thread Part 10

OK - let's play the "how old is my Walkabout" game. I need some help from those who know how to date these things.
The serial number is WK-003330. Anyone know how old their WA is, and what the serial number is? Maybe we can triangulate this without too much BS&T.

I have a M9 with two PH410 cabs...do I "need" a Walkabout?

No. Do you "want" a Walkabout? YES. Husky123 has (or had) both a Carbine M9 and a Walkabout. I haven't seem him post about the M9 in ages; only the Walkabout.
I'm selling one in the TB Classifieds right now; you can have a Walkabout cheap, which is another reason to get one. :D
Seriously, the Carbine amps are SOOOO clean-sounding and punchy; if you want an amp that has a parametric EQ and will allow you to dial in some tube dirt/distortion, you definitely "need' one!

The M9 for my purposes was a razor sharp, unforgiving scalpel. The WA had way more personality though.
Heads like the Carbines will absolutely highlight poor technique and sloppy playing. The WA leaves some room to sound quite good with less a lot less precision in your playing - at least IME.
