IME the TC112 can handle even more than the Walkabout can dish, but not much. I found that to be a good match. However, the TC isn't that sensitive, and a good "regular" 4 Ohm 212 (like a GB Neox) get's louder than the 4 Ohm TC112 IME.

I have had numerous Walkabout heads and started with the 12" combo years ago. After being "between Walkabouts" for a few months, I just snagged a used 12" combo with the 8 Ohm speaker . Wow. I had forgotten how rich and toneful the Walkabout cabs are. I had ditched the combo cab in the past because it didn't provide the volume I wanted, but at reasonable levels it is incredibly thick and juicy. Glad to be back in the home of tone

I am a huge fan of the WA and ran various WA 12 and 15 combinations over the years (1x12, 2 x 1x12, 1x15, 1x12+1x15 - my fav), but ultimately decided that the Mesa cabs just could not really fully represent the power and tone of the WA when you start to push it up the power curve. I have kept my combo 1x12, but rarely use it anymore. It's super sweet for lowish volume work, but my volume sweet spot is just beyond what it can do comfortably.
The very efficient Berg CN212 (104db) really allows the WA to shine in med/loudish settings. For me, if I need to be louder than what the the WA/CN212 can do, I usually have FOH support.
WA+CN212 is just a great pairing. You will not regret it if you go this route.

Ironically, I spent some time playing with eq on my Walkabout this weekend... using the Scout combo, I generally roll off some of the extreme bottom and top, leave most everything else neutral, but the TI flatwounds made me tweak the mids and highs a little, and drop another couple db of sub-60.
To each his own as far as eq goes, but I do enjoy having tonal options even when I choose not to use them. Ended up about here, which is pretty good in the practice room corner. Maybe not so much on a stage.

@BiG-Uli I'll also be running my Walkabout through a CN212 this Thursday. I'm currently running through a single Cn112 and totally dig it. I had a sound man ask me last week what head I was running. He said the bass sounded great. No prompting. I am really looking forward to opening this up with another speaker and the full 300W at 4 Ohms...
I'm also running a Walkabout through a CN212 and it straight up slams. With the master volume around 11:00 and the gain around 2 it was hurting my ears it was so loud at this setting and it sounds AMAZING! I would say that the Walkabout with the CN is my favourite setup ever.

Love the tone of my WA\HD212 combo. I liked the WA through Berg cabs much more than the Mesa Scout cabs personally. I occasionally play in a modern rock oriented contemporary worship setting and the tone is tough to beat. I prefer a tube amp\sealed cab for the real old school stuff but the WA covers all other ground very well. It's plenty loud, too - but never super clean to my ears.
On stage I try to run the WA flat as possible considering the post-DI signal. It usually works okay with the Genz NX2-212T, although that fella is quite low-mid heavy. Without PA support I bump the bass knob a bit and maybe a slight boost at just under 2K.
Never thought it would happen, but yesterday a used Baer ML112 came up locally for a price I couldn't pass-up. So far only bedroom and living room solo testing, but it's a pretty sweet creation.
Initially...not my thing, but I'll give 'er a run in rehearsal Sunday for a reality check. Solo, the high mids are a bit too much for me.
Really digging the low end character. I can kinda feel it in my knees. Tight but extended bottom (vs. the Genz). The lows sound and feel good. I just have to bump the WA para. somewhere in the 'hood of 300Hz and move the BASS close to 1:00 to really enjoy it.
I definitely like it. It's so articulate and brings out the rich quality of the WA. It makes me want to play more (of course, some of that is the new and different).
My goal has been to find a bigger cab and its half-size equivalent for great flexiility. Finding the NX2-112T is probably impossible. Buying the ML212 to go with the ML112 isn't a great option due to usual used/new prices and not digging the high-mid emphasis.
It seems like something with the tight, extended low and sweet articulate nature of the ML112 combined with a bit of the low-mid push and grit from the NX2-212T would be my perfect cab. If I could mix the two and then roll-off the high mids a bit...bam.
From all the reading, I think the closest thing might be a Berg. CN cab. I wonder...
Edit: Just used the Baer, WA and a Jazz copy in my living room by request with the wife and her BFF drunk singing Jamiroquai tunes over the stereo. Thang sounds good.
The ML112's tone was dialed in according to feedback from guys using it onstage. We always shy away from the scooped mid "make it sound good in the showroom" type tone that doesn't always cut through onstage. In my experience, the upper mids from your cab quickly get buried by the guitar/vocals/keys. The extra upper mids form the cab help give you enough articulation in that region onstage amidst all the other instruments. I get quite quite a few customers who buy the cab and try it at home only to call me up and say the want to return the cab under our 10 day trial policy because the cab is too bright to has too much upper mids. I always tell them to please try the cab in a band setting before deciding to return the cab. It's a very rare occurrence that someone returns the cab after using on the gig.
If you want to dial the upper mids back a bit with the WA, use the semi-parametric and dial out a bit around 2K. For that low mid push, try boosting around 120Hz, just a couple dB. Just a touch here makes lower volume playing feel a little fatter.
