I don't know how many versions Mesa made of the PH212 (and I used to gig one several years ago). However, during my last visit to Mesa (about 2012) they showed me, and let me try out, a prototype 212 that was very much in the Berg CN style; light design, punchy well balanced tone ( very different from what I usually think of as the more snarly mid forward Mesa cab sound). I got to play through it with the then new Strategy and Prodigy, and I felt like it was a winner. Have not seen anything like it from them on the market though.Didn't Mesa make more than one version of this? How heavy is your cab? Or maybe I should ask how high your truck is. Having to overhead press the cab might affect recommendations.![]()

Any experience running the 12 with the matching 12 extension? Or would detaching the head and using a 4x10 be the better option?
No, I don't think it would. As a stage monitor in a loud band, I would want at least 2 12's in that situation.
I have used the WA in several all-Mesa combinations over the years.Any experience running the 12 with the matching 12 extension? Or would detaching the head and using a 4x10 be the better option?
