Question for you lomo :
I'm thinking about building a Fearful 15/6 to go with my M6 but I'm not sure about one thing : the M6 lacks a graphical EQ. Do you use your GEQ with you M9 and you LDS 15/6 ? Do you thing it is almost necessary ?

I usually trim back the lowest 2 sliders a tad, or bump up at 150 or 300 Hz. Depends how I feel on that day and what the room is like, etc. I would be willing to bring my rig to Mtl (I have a place in NDG) for you to test drive, but you won't be able to spank it at gig volume in my basement without having to replace the windows, LOL. There are a couple of other local TBers with whom I have had a few GTG who might also be interested. The downside is that it'd have to wait for Nov 'cause I'm booked solidly at work for Oct. Pm me if you're up for it.

Overall I do not think the graphic is necessary, just nice.

I've just started getting a fuzzy distortion from my Walkabout. a similar sound to having the gain turned high, but it's there even if the gain's backed way way low. It's not a crazy-extreme fuzz distortion, but it's not normal.

It wasn't there one day, was the next.

I guessed it was preamp tubes, since I'd tested a preamp pedal into it the day before, and thought maybe I'd overdriven the preamp. Put a new Mesa tube in each socket individually, but nothing changed. Haven't tried two new tubes at once though... guess I should try that.

The speaker isn't the problem because I get the sound regardless which cabinet I run the amp through.

I've put a short patch cord across the effects send/receive. I've sprayed DeOxit onto a plug and plugged it into the various jacks, too.

Any ideas? I'll call Mesa when they open today, but maybe there's a clue here among other WA owners.

Not to derail but yeah-she's the dog of my life, a 140 lb Akita who is now 12 and I'm not sure she can handle another NE winter with 2 blown rear tires (hips). I love telling folks that my dawg weighs more than my woman......and that's how it should be:D I sure hope she can make it through to another spring........

I think I'd go with the "natural," ie, wood finish.
As many neat finishes as they have, for whatever reason, if I ever ordered custom anything from them, it would be that "early Santana Mesa look," with finished wood and wicker basket grills.

It's really nice furniture, with killin' tone;)
