Wow. Looks like mine.

I just bought myself a Belkin laptop bag for 20 bucks online. Fit's beautifully with enough room for leads.

After you mentioned the 112's I started looking into them. Bought a set used locally from TB'er JoshB. Turned on their side they are close enough to ear level for me and take up very little stage room. So far I'm pretty happy.

And thanks to those who complimented the other picture. Hopefully she will be a bass player.

To the rest of you:
Anybody just carry the WA head without any rack bag, rack cabinet, or head case?
Hate the thought of scratching it up but it's so small that any of the above seem like overkill.
Did research a camera style case a few weeks ago and Pelican did not have anything close to the right size.

JC...WalMart sells a small flexible carry-on suitcase that fits my WA with a couple inches to spare and also has a zip side bag for cords,setlists, and pedals etc...I think it was about 15.00...Peace...DAcat

Found a mint Genz Benz NeoX 212T locally and basically stole it.

Anyway, haven't had a chance to gig it yet, but first impressions are, "why didn't I get one of these sooner?!"

Tight, full and punchy. Actually transparent and it sounds great with the Walkabout. I've been looking for a single cab that I can use with both the WA and my M6 and I'm pretty sure I found it.

Looking forward to gigging it with the WA. The cab is 53lbs so just slightly heavier than the Scout combo. I much prefer the sound of the NeoX.

I've been looking at those vs the AE212...they spec similarly in terms of weight, size and SPL...
versus two GK neo112's...I like the idea of modular, and two of these tack up taller, putting "more gooder closer to ear level."

Not sure where I'm going yet, but, somewhere.

Pair of AE 210s. Pricey but certainly modular, and with greater combined sensitivity, volume and height than the 212. Personally, for my Walkabout, I've gone with the TB153 for gigs, and ordered a 4 Ohm TC112 for everything else. Now I'm done.......really.......just like B4........

Hey Chef, do you mean they are making "flatpacks" like they do for the BFM Jacks? I looked on the website and could find the driver kits, but not the whole shebang including precut wood.

Isn't 2 fearful cabs a bit much just to gain enough effeciency / headroom to use a WA?

1) This is America. Bigger is better
2) a 15/6/1 might well be enough for most things
3) A 12/6/1 would be enough for most small things
4) 15/6/1 + 12/6/1 = "You want a piece of this? You *don't* want a piece of this!"

The HT-112ER arrived today.. It sounded good with the WalkAbout head, but not as full as the Scout cab.. It maybe the Scouts 15 or not enough power to really drive the Bergie.. When I plug my M-9 into the HT-112ER it comes to life.. The Bergies are power hungry and my garage is also not the greatest test area for amps...
Thought about checking out an AE-112, but I feel the results maybe similar...

So, my new-to-me rig arrived yesterday (1x12 WA Scout and 1x12 extension cab), and I am thoroughly pleased. As I read through the Mega-thread, when I found suggested settings, I copied and pasted them into a document, which I took with me into the garage, along with the suggested settings from the manual. I started with the manual's "Huge & Round" setting, which was WAY too boomy, and played from there. Ultimately, I used "a little of this" and "a little of that" from the setting you guys suggested, and made a couple minor tweaks of my own. Of course, as soon as I take it to a rehearsal room, those settings will sound horrible , but at least I'm in the ballpark. Thanks to all of you for the settings--they were VERY helpful!

I'm a pretty dyed-in-the-wool Ampeg guy, but the tone I'm getting sounds pretty SVT to me, and I'm LOVING the two twelves--punchier than a 15, but not a bright as four tens. So far, I'm a happy dude!

Sweet! If you decide you want to get more Ampeg-like, I've found my Walkabout/VT pedal combination to be fantastic.

Thanks for the advice, Man. I'm pretty happy with what I have right now--a full, warm tubiness with a round, tight bottom end and enough clarity in the high end without the dreaded "dern, dern, dern" ;-)

I seriously thinking of trading my walkie 12 for something else....it just compresses too much for me...
I love the tone, but it just squashes quicker than I can handle.

Would a Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0-12T get me the next best thing?

I gotta have tube action, but more preamp headroom.

I have Electro Harmonix pre tubes in right now...

This bums me out, I thought I have "the" little combo for life.
