Thanks, I am so stoked for getting this new head!
I have this one in mine:
Amazon.com: SilenX Ixtrema Pro LED - Case fan - 80 mm - blue: Electronics
Very quite to my ears.
However at those home type levels I notice the fan noise. Once I have anyone else to jam with (even an acoustic guitar) it gets loud enough I don't notice the fan. I plan on installing a thermally controlled on/off circuit in like on my Eden WT400.
I already built the circuit and am currently testing it out on my car sub amp. So far it works great. There's plenty of room in the WA to fit the circuit board too. If I wasn't a electronics geek I'd just install the quieter silenex fan linked above.
Thank you for the recommendation as well. That seems to be a popular choice & well made also. Not worth it IMO. install a quieter fan and you won't even hear when its on. I went with the Noctua NF8.

I have a WAS 12. Considering adding the 12" extension cabinet. Both cabs would be 4 ohms, I do have on 8 ohm speaker to swap out and might buy a second if my particular WA head doesnt handle the 2 ohm load. I have read most of this thread and have the impression that results have been mixed.
Among those that have stacked twin scout cabs:
- What results did you get?
- are you still lovin it?
- are dual passive radiators too much boom?
- did you move on to something else?
Among those who've added a 2nd cab to the WAS, what has been successful?
- Good sonic match?
- Light weight?
Thanks for your insights!
