Mesa M6 Carbine Mega Thread part 3:

I just scored an SKB 2U rack on ebay for $72 plus $20 shipping. $92 total-price seemed pretty fair! Coolness!

I gigged with the M6 Carbine last night at my weekly patio gig. A neighbor called the cops to complain. Oooops. Think it was my fault? :D

I'm back at the same place gigging tonight and tomorrow night. I better watch my volume. One really cool thing I noticed is that even at very low volume (master at 8 O'clock/Input at noon), the amp punches with tightness that makes me smile! My Cab is a Bergantino AE410. Nice tight focused punch.

The Bergantino AE410 is a perfect match for the Mesa M6 Carbine since the M6 has a big low end. I think it's the perfect amp/cab match. Works for me!

Pretty sure the answer is yes. This is the one thing that's tough about being a bassist. We probably carry farther than anything else. :)

Not me. I use a cart.

Ya right, as you take your M6 to your patio gig.;):bassist::bassist::bassist:

Touche my friend!! Touche!

...Ok, so I bring a full-on Aircraft carrier (Mesa M6 Carbine) to a gig that only calls for a row boat. Your point again is?

For the record, the Mesa M6 sounds glorious even at lower volumes in the way that the headroom supports the low note fundamentals with slam and punch. So even though I am playing quieter gigs, I have solid iron behind me.

One thing I've noticed with the M6 so far is that it seems to afford me with more right hand attack sensitivity. When I play lightly and toward the neck pickup I am rewarded with a deeper, rounder softer tone. But dig in just a bit and/or move my right hand back over the bridge PU and I can get my bass to burp out the notes with a punchy growl that is well defined, focused with plenty of midrange grind and snarl while being supported with a full rich low range depth at the same time. :eyebrow:
