Good thing on the amp. Bummer deal on the cabinet though. You should be able to get that speaker reconed unless it's under warranty. Then they should replace the speaker.

Has anyone tried taking the xlr D.I. from their M6 into a mixing desk or direct to a p.a.? any hiss present.
I have tried adjusting the D.I. level from the front of the amp, just can't seem to get rid of the hiss.

It's a bit of a pain, I have just invested in a passive DI, just to get a monitor mix.
I take it this must be a common problem then.

Well....I don't know that I'd chalk that up to Class D, though you can if you care to.
I found the Terror bass to quite enough power for me, but, I also found a bit dark and old school voiced for me.
M6/9=very different sounding amp from the TB.
It's one of those matchups where I'd kinda be surprised if you liked both; they're pretty different.
Nice to have choices though.

The ORANGE has tons of power. But too much mid and too little lows for my taste.
The MESA M6: Even my guitar player says it has a huge round tone. It's gorgeous. I love my Thunderfunk amp. But for a mass produced amp, the MESA is incredible, IMHO.

I am looking for a gig bag for my M6; is anyone aware of a bag made to fit the amp? I can't find anything specific on the MB website.

I have searched all over the forums, and I can't seem to find a good answer to this question. I have a Carbine M6 212 combo (4 ohms). Yesterday I bought a Powerhouse 115 cab (8 ohms).
My plan is to run the Powerhouse from the second speaker out jack, as the combo speaker cable is already plugged into one of them.
What is the net impedance if I do it that way?
Should I leave the little impedance switch on 8/4, or switch it to 2 ohms when I run both cabs?

You are so right, Chef, as always. The Orange is a very nice amp (the fact that you can switch from 4 to 8 ohms and get a 500 watt output from both is nice!) . I guess it's just that the M6 is so dang impressive.
I played a multi-band show recently showcasing an X-Factor TV show finalist. The bass player in one of the bands played through an Orange 500 through a 4x10 cab. (Unknown cab) It sounded freaking great on the audience side of the stage. If I compared directly to my Mesa M6, I think I'd still prefer the M6 Carbine, but the Orange tone was awesome in the house.

I think that there are, in fact, cases of "good vs bad."
I think Orange TB v M6 is "good vs good," and comes down to personal pref.
The TB, for me, was an impressive unit, that wasn't my flavor.

Chef - Sorry if you have allready posted on this - but can you comment on how the m6/m9 might pair with those GK 212s you have been running of late?
