That's because I haven't posted about it yet!

The three buttons are unlabled so that I can decide which functions I want them to control. For instance, I am pretty sure I will never need the position one switch, so I saw no need to have all four positions covered. I'll post pictures when it comes in.

No, I don't know him. Rats. I really don't have a network having just gotten back into "the swing of things". That means that poor Kirk is my go-to guy when I need something!

Kirk ain't a bad "go-to-guy"....

BTW - Kirk I will call you this week when I have everything together!...

Also, I'll be at the John McLaughlin/Chick Corea show at HOB tomorrow night...anyone else in the DFW area going?

Hit me with a pm if you are gonna put it up on the block. It sounds like the kind of thing I'm interested in. I'm guessing it is three footswitches with three 1/4 plugs for controlling the back of the amp. If so, I'd assume you can use it to activate the mid-bost/cut settings and/or the mute setting (or any of the other footswitch options on the back)?

Thanks Gerry. Im working all this week..Wish i could go to that show though...

No, Kirk is a great go to guy! I just feel bad for bugging him with my boring issues.

Kirk - Don't forget to shoot me over your schedule. I'm in Lewisville so I can get over to Grapevine pretty easy (or wherever) when you are playing.

Call me anytime. it is no bother... if it becomes a bother.. you can take me to lunch at Jasons Deli...:)

Does anyone use an M6 with a tube emulator like RBI or VT bass to get tube sounds when desired? I assume the M6 does solid state but not tube sounds....

I don't, but it depends on how much grit you want. The M6 can get some grit, but it won't give you the overdrive of say the BB750. I think what the M6 offers is the quickness that is more like a solid state, but with the tube it is not sterile by any means. I love the tone, quickness, headroom and ease of tone shaping.

Totally agree that it is NOT sterile and boy is it loud. As for grit...well, NIMHO.

The M6 does not even begin to act like say, the Walkabout, or 400+ in terms of "tube content."
It adds fat, beef, and some harmonic content, but if you want grit or overdrive, you're gonna need outboard help.

By nature, the M6 is big, clear, fast, strong...but not gritty.

Even with my hottest active basses, thru the passive input, there's not grit and overdrive...
