My prayers are answered!! I called Mesa about a year ago and asked if they ever had plans for a Bass 400 type preamp DI pedal and was told no. I was bummed out and to this day never invested in a proper Preamp DI pedal..dreaming and holding out that maybe one day...

Today I was thinking about how cool it would be to reconfigure a Subway D-800 amp into a pedal format. I've been contemplating buying a D-800 and putting it on my pedalboard and running it solely DI. Tonight I was skimming D-800 demo videos and Viola!!

    Also stumbled upon the D-800+

  4. I'm very intrigued by this especially the ability to send a post and pre eq sound out with 2 XLR outputs not to mention that great Boogie sound!

Looks interesting, but no bypass switch on a pedal? Not the worst thing in the world, but for preamp junkies could be a downside

Just like the noble I suppose. More DI than Pedal I guess.

Yeah, I'm seeing this as more of an "always on" front end, esp for ampless guys.

I guess. Im a total preamp whore and I wouldn't hesitate to put this in my chain. No issue. Once I put a pre in my chain its always on anyways ;)

For sure. Digging into the video it
For sure, again, not a huge thing since most normal people don't have more than one pre on a board, if at all, but *shrug*

Is anybody else seeing what appears to be a Subway 2x10 in that third video?

Great price, I'm sure the quality will be outstanding. I wish there was a drive control to get some OD/grind.
