Mesa Subway D-350!

Hope I can convince the Mrs. to go out for a couple of hours while rattle the windows... TBD
Put her on a Southwest flight. You might get a week out of it.

:)

This is what happens...

Let us know your impressions, and how it works for your application.

I got my D350 and hooked it up to the SVT212 cab. All I can say is WOW! I’ve never had anything this powerful but beyond that, the tone is incredible. I can only describe it as rich. I’ve quickly tried my P-bass with flats, my L2K, and my SB-1. They all sound wonderful and I haven’t even played with any of the settings yet. It’s starting to make me think I should just cancel the order for the PF-50t!

Maybe if the D-350 was 3 times the size and weighed 20 pounds people wouldn't be so surprised at how good and how big it sounds! :)

Glad you're enjoying it...part of the initial fun for me was just being amazed at what that little thing can do.

It definitely kicks some butt. I haven't seen the limit light even flicker once yet, wondering if it even works, lol. Of course I'm using it inside the house but I opened it some and it gets loud with authority, stays clean and is harmonically rich. I love the bright switch, I leave it on. I'd love to get a time travel machine and go back 45 years and show up at a gig with this thing along with my Stingray Special and see the reaction. The band members would be amazed I'm sure but the chick's in the audience would probably be more interested in my smart phone.

My D350 in its bag rides in my garment bag or backpack. I dont find a need for more case for it, my gig clothes are protecting it! :smug:
I've put 40 gigs on it since June and havent put one scratch or mark on it.

I keep the Bright switch on 100%, just love it that way.

I have zero interest in 8" speakers. The amp sounds really awesome on larger cabs!

Eights can sound better than you imagine is possible. They are quick responders. I for one would love to see a 2x8 Mesa cab. Warwick 2x8 and 4x8 cabs with Celestion speakers shown here with Aguilar TH350 on top but I am presently using these cabs with a Mesa 350 and it sounds absolutely killer with the 2 rays! I have also used them with a Mesa WD800, even better.

Looks very nice and I'm interested to hear what you think after you get it. Now that the D-350 is out of the R&D world and in production I do feel a little guilty about making it live and travel in a GK bag! :rollno:
The bag arrived this afternoon. Overall, I think it is a winner. There is a hard side compartment system, which must be wholly removed, leaving little in the way of padding for the amp. Otherwise, the amp fits perfectly in the lower compartment, while the upper compartment is excellent for cords / tuners etc. I think it will work well, with somewhat lack of padding noted.

Well, I’ve had some time to play with the new amp. I’m cancelling the order for the PF-50 tomorrow. I just can’t believe that I’d like anything better than this! I’d like to hear it with a Mesa or Barefaced cab but I’m really enjoying it with the SVT212. This thing is awesome!!!
