Metalheads Club #1

thanks man!!! It is during practice so there were a few flubs in there, but that is a beginnign idea of the band I am in right now. All original 80's Crossover/thrash; Hardcore influenced metal! We are going into the studio this winter to put some stuff down. We also have a couple of CD's already available on iTunes

yeah. The first 3 Ozzfest's were great...and then it sort of spiraled into mainstream mediocrity, at least for me. Here in C-bus, they were ripping pieces of sod out of the ground and throwing them around the pit. We are talking like 6 foot long by 3 foot wide pieces with the grass and like 4-6" of dirt. It was like getting hit with a freakin' car!
Oh wow, what the name of your band? I might have to check you guys out.

But yeah, the fest started losing it coolness.....alot of cops started showing up to......they kinda took some of the fun out of it.

But there was so many good bands. I remember seeing System of a Down for the first time there. Wow, they put on a hell of a show and the pit was so huge and just going off!!

I'm also old school metal. Saw Megadeth on the Peace Sells...and So Far, So Good tours, Maiden on Somewhere on Tour, Fear of the Dark, and the X-Factor; Anthrax on the Among the Living tour with Testament and Metal Church, Armored Saint with Helloween (original lineups), Sabbath's Dehumanizer tour. Later it was bands like Motorhead, Iced Earth (Barlow's return) and Slipknot.

Fretter, welcome aboard!.....you are #8 my friend

Eh, why not? Get me in here. I play in a thrash band, with a nice progressive edge to it. I found Ride the Lightning in my dad's CD collection when I was in 6th grade, and it took off from there. The Big 4, Testament, Exodus, Powermad, Fates Warning, Coroner, Helstar, Sanctuary (whom I saw a couple months ago), Overkill, and many more than I can currently list. This is my band from a couple months ago.

I love the thrash, so I need to be here!

I'm too metal for this club... :bassist:

Seriously, I don't play much metal anymore, but I used to listen to death metal almost exclusively. For a few years I lived in a small city with a very healthy metal scene and was seeing tons of shows.

I still love metal today but my tastes have broadened to include pop, country and classic rock (my favorite!), and pretty much anything that I find musically interesting.

I'm not against the idea of being in a metal band again someday.

I saw a lot of metal at the SD Sports Arena. Also Fox Theater downtown. That was my first real concert with Accept and Saxon.

Hey RIP you heard of the local band Nukem?
Oh man, I haven't been to the Fox in probably 20 years.

But no, haven't heard of Nukem (awesome name BTW) , weird because I've been going to a lot of locals stuff lately....are they old band members of yours?

Wolfenstein666, if you love Thrash, you gotta be here.....you got the #9 spot

and

The Ombudsmen, if you are "to metal" then you definitely belong here.....you got #10

Right on gentlemen!!.....Stay Metal!!

We are called Fools Crown. Have been around since about 2002...

I think the video link in my sig is old stuff. I have to re-update that...
Oh man that video is still awesome.....old or not

That's something I need to do. With my old band we kept talking about shooting a video. We did some with a camera phone but I'm sure you can guess how they came out.

I keep seeing guys on CL that will do them for cheap. Maybe I'll hit some of them up.
