Metalheads Club #1

But, ive been hearing alot of In this Moment and Mudvayne on satelite radio, so im kinda getting into them.....i love that song Not Falling. The bass line in that is pretty awesome

i live and breath Mudvayne. My metal journey started with Mudvayne LD.50 and 1976's masterpiece Rainbow Rising. Even though my music taste has evolved a lot, i always come back to Ld.50 and it floors me every time.

my bands latest single Featuring Thy Art Is Murder vocalist Cj Mcmahon on guest vocals.

So weird that In This Moment is now popular. We played with them like 5-6 years ago when they were literally touring around in a beat up old white van. That show had maybe 100 people there in a small place here in town (The Ravari Room for any Central Ohio members.) Cool to see them be able to go on

Wow, how cool....Maria seems pretty cool to, and she's kinda hot.

I've never been much into Metal bands with chicks as singers, but she is 100% Metalhead.

when we played with them, she was sporting dreadlocky/really wavy hair...sort of looking like Sean Yseult...who I have always had sort of a bass-crush on. She was not too talkative to me (but I am the bass player ya know?) , but our guit player -who is also female - and her got along pretty well. I think the whole band was pretty road-weary cause they were all pretty quiet. Not unfriendly, but more like worn out.

I went to her club in N'Orleans, but didn't spot her there.

Wasn't she dating Zombie at one point?

Rob definitely has a type:

yeah. They were dating as WZ was forming, and I think through the first album....

If you have #327 and no offense to old school metal, I'm in.
Not much of a fan of the new stuff, but like I speed and thrash, back through and including a triple extra helping of Sabbath era metal.
I think we all love the old school stuff!......mrb327, you are #327

So all this week I've been listening to System of a Down. Love "Know"

I have been listening to all of my Viking/pagan metal to help me get in the mindset for the Yule season and the advent of cold weather. Been sitting outside and reading while Darkthrone, Amon Amarth, Absu, Borknagar, Kampfar, Emporer, Mythotin, Bathory...as well as the symphonic music of Grieg, Sibelius, Pettersson, Norgard...I call it my "winter acclimation time"

this is the time of year where I feel closest to my ancestors (Swedish) and celebrate the heritage and connection to them. I don't do this to mock or ridicule people who celebrate Christmas. I was never into that side of the whole thing. I was raised in the animist beliefs and in the traditions of the Norse mythos, and it is where I find comfort. My mom is Lutheran, and dad was the "druid", so I got both sides of the faith systems growing up.

...and yes, I also realize I am a total nerd :D
