I'm looking for the most portable posible bass combo for practice, rehearsal, and also small gigs, if it's possible speaker out connection in case you need to go louder, 400 or 500$ it's my limit, some advise??????
Markbass Micromark 801 is a choice around £300.
Its 60W analog amp has got a lot of punch, and it sounds like 80W with an additional speaker, if you ever need one. It weighs only about 6Kg. It looks like the young brother of the famous Markbass Mini CMD 121 combo.
One of the best combos ever for practice. It is shipped with a balanced line out with ground lift, external speaker 8ohms output, a headphone output, an AUX input, and on/off button to bypass the 8" Neodimium builtin speaker. Do not underestimate that 8" Neo speaker.
The down side is there is practically no pre amp.
It is shipped with the patented Markbass VPF, though. It is a nice filter that scoops the mids cutting at 320Hz, while boosting Hi and Low.
I have used it with a stompbox on small gigs. to make up for the lack of pre amp controls. I have been using the Zoom B1Xon, which can line up up to 5 FXs, from compressors and EQs to amp heads and cabs emulation, plus lots of other cool stuff, at the most reasonable price.
This combo also goes well with Trace Elliot Elf 1x10 cab, making it a portable chioce for small gigs. There is another version with a 10", the Micromark 101 Marcus Muller, which is shipped with a tweeter, being retailed at £390 in the UK.
Regards, overdubs of grooves, all the best, and enjoy the Music!
