Yeah, I wasn't keen on white, either. But in real life, it really grew on me. It's called Orchid Pearl White and has a lot of pinkish-blue highlights. There's probably too many spaceships in my past, hehe (Sci-fi fan, worked on the CanadaArm for the Space Shuttle, etc.). It definitely shows off the body lines well.

Nah... Jay Leno fits in one just fine; and he's 2" taller than me (and about as big around). This is a new one, but he has one pretty much like the one I want... just not a Super Sport.
Actually, the pearl whites do look really good. It was not apparent to me from the photos. With that said, enjoy your new ride.

I know...and who would ever though that about a VW Bus. When I a teenager, sometimes we would get stuck behind one going up a long hill. Finally, when we got to pass it was not unusual to flip them off for not pulling over and letting us pass earlier. Now, some them have the opportunity to make bank and can rightfully smile and flip us off.

Hahaha! $200K for a bus is way too high, though. The bottom is gunna drop on that market.
My rule was always to pass every VW Microbus immediately. None of them could keep up with traffic.
These days, that rule applies mostly to Saturns (all are slow) Subarus (90% are slow) and Prius (most are slow). Buicks are all under suspicion until proven to drive road speed, as are older style Cadillacs, all minivans, and clapped-out pickups, especially if loaded with trash.

If I could only convince my wife that it would be a logical purchase I'd get one...

I had a '74 bus and had to sell it because I couldn't keep up with everything that would go wrong. When I finally got everything fixed, I didn't want to drive it so that something else could break.
So long story short. It wasn't practical.

I had a first gen Subaru WRX. Didn't get passed often

Not really....They were VERY quick!!!
That's what I mean - the WRX is almost an ANTI-subaru. It definitely doesn't attract the type of (slow) driver that normally buys a Subaru.
My daughter looked at a Crosstrek - she would have been VERY interested if she could have gotten a WRX engine in it, but no - so it was a slug. She ended up with a 2011 Mini Cooper S, which is a rocket.
I thought I would resurrect this thread since I actually purchased a car recently! When I started this thread I was thinking of something like a Camaro or Challenger. I ended up with something more practical but still fun to drive. Plus it has more features than any car I have ever owned!
A friend of mine, who is also a drummer I have played with off and on for at least 10 years, is a mechanic who has his own shop. About a year ago a guy brings in this Volvo 2005 S40 T5 AWD because he had fried the motor. My buddy put a rebuilt motor in it with about 55K miles on it, plus a few other things totaling nearly $7,000. When it came time to pick it up the owner couldn't afford to pay the bill so it sat in my friend's back lot. He finally went through the process of getting the clear title from the state. He had told me about the car while he was in the process of getting the title but I wasn't overly excited about it. Once I saw how nice it was and how good the condition was for an 11 year old car I was more enthusiastic. He let me borrow it for a weekend to try it out and I was hooked! I ended up getting it for $6,900, which is what he had put it to it for the repairs. I have always skimped on features when buying a car to save money. So this is my first car with heated leather seats, sunroof, all wheel drive, turbo, etc. It is a much nicer car than anything I would have bought newer for more than twice the price! It's no muscle car but it's still very quick and fun to drive!
