Oh god, I might have accidentally found a group I might fit right in but I don’t want to! Here is my midlife crisis in the making… I am actually a drummer with a soft spot for basses…

I had my crisis earlier in life...at about age 36. Spent about $12k on basses in a year (partly in crisis and partly due to some unexpected and lucrative gigs); one Sadowsky NYC and one Fbass AC6. At 47, I feel another crisis coming on. LOL

I've been playing bass since I was 15.

I had my midlife crisis when I was 30. I've been fine since then.

IMO don't buy lots of basses, spend the same amount of money on a few really good ones.

Nice! Never thought I'd see NIN and Toad the Wet Sprocket stickers coexisting on anything, but hey, it works!

Since our nest has become more or less empty, with the occasional drop-ins from nieces, brothers-in-law, and daughters, I've only bought one instrument--a Sandberg California TT-5 Superlight (J5). After helping my parents downsize into a senior facility I want to minimize that hassle for myself, so I'm more inclined to sell than buy at this point.
