Might Kill My Dog Today....

I had a cousin move in with me when he was going through a divorce. He dropped his dog off while I was at work. Locked him in a dark room. Dempsey ( he was a Boxer) turned out to be afraid of the dark and punched a hole through the drywall to get out. From that day forward, every time Dempsey would start to act up, we would point to the patched up hole and he would get embarrassed and slither away.

By the way, here's what a Sheperd looks like when he's sufficiently tired out. No joke. He's asleep.

Our Akita mix ate the outside of a Fender Rhodes piano we had in storage in the garage. She also chewed a Carlos Benevant CD to splinters.
There are still places on our back deck where she chewed the wood as a puppy.
She must have had a cast iron stomach.....
Man, do I miss that dog! She was a good'un....

All of our dogs eventually join what I call the "thousand dollar club". Either through mischief or medical bills each dog will eventually hit the $1000 mark. I take it in stride. My Jack Rat Terrier mix has seen fit to "mark" the front of one of my cabinets and my wife's guitar amp.
"Why, that looks like something splashed...Baxter!!!!!"

That's hysterical! I gotta tell my wife this - the $1000 club. But it's worth every penny I say. ;)

My shep mix used to think I paid too much attention to the computer, not enough to the dog. If I ignored her for too long while on the comp, I'd find shredded floppies (google it, kids) if I wasn't careful. One of the few pics I have left of her has a hole she bit out of it, from when I was messing around with photography as a hobby (as opposed the dog's preferred hobbies of Car Rides, Dog Walking, etc...).

Nothing any pet does is the pet's fault. Even vicious people-maulers are the result of several factors, none of which the dog had any control over.

Thanks guys. Oscar is the best friend any man could ever have. I'm not sure why he chose to dig in to the hoffy case after years of hangin around other gear. I think he was just bored, and maybe smelled something on the case. He's worth every penny of damage he caused to the case. I'm not upset at him. Just should have put the case in the closet.
